The system looks like X-Line to me. By far the most interesting technical feature of the X-line isn't the Hydra wave shaper, but the EVX-155 Plate low-frequency drivers, which are EVX-155 drivers with a round disc of aluminum honeycomb glued over the cone, essentially filling it in. This permits the midrange horn to behave as an ideal horn without the cavity resonances created by having the 15" drivers in the side walls.

EV cross-overs suck. Massive impedance spikes on narrow frequency bands, great for blowing drivers.

i got a pa with the new phoenix px 2181 and px 2152 the new drivers from ev are superb dvx 3150 are awsome drivers excelent subs too ,.great job electrovoice .

yeah !!! good job indeed The phoenix is the %#$@ I was running the floor wedges as well. the manifold design on the compression drivers rules. I clocked the wedges at 132DbSPL at a show YIKES!

It's the time of day on a 24 hour clock. They start at 0630 (6.30am) and it looks like lighting checks start at about 2pm (1400)crowd starts arriving about 7pm etc. Sounds checks are probably done by the band's techs. with in ear monitoring and a touring PA the band probably doesn't need to be there for checks.

There is no way that they set up the full system in 20 mins! It is just impossible no matter how good the crew is or how used they are to a system, for a system of that size you are talking at a full day, never mind sound checks and lighting programming.

This all looks fairly straight forward to me. Get in, Get out. Get paid and then party on the bus to next morning so it all happen over and over again. I love it.

also remember they are prob setting up the exact system every time. I can setup my system in 20 mins now and have all the kinks worked out in another 10 or less. They are all trained and each have a specific job. so it goes fast. Plus the venue is made/easy to setup in.

Those EV's rock, I got to DJ on them (same amount as in this video) for an outdoor show with 24 of the turbosound 21 inch subs. All I can say is, amazing. For mids/highs, in my opinion, turbosound and martin audio, you can't touch these.
