Obama's First Month In Office. Where is The Hope & Change? Why Another Bailout?

Well i know people who do not know there history are going to end up repeating it i know in the Great Depression FDR did the same thing's Obama is doing and he prolonged and made the depression worse if he would not have done anything we would have recovered on a year or so we can not fake that the market is doing well every market has a bottom pumping money is not helping the economy at all it is sure not helping an local and small businesses which is the mega force of the America wok force

If you listened to hwat he said he will need time, you cant exactly expect him to sit at the desk in th oval office and expect the economy to be fixed and for candy to rain from the sky and global warming to go into complete reverse, he has been in less than 100 days, the economy may take a year or two to fix REGARDLESS of who got into the presidency, he has even said it will take time to fix, judging him for NOT fixing the economy after one month is UNREASONABLE, give him a year or two atleast!

So Obama becoming the CEO off almost every major company is going to fix the economy?? Time he is spending so much money he is not saving the country he is throwing it more into a whole. Even Biden says obama's spending plan is not working. He doesnt need time with his 4 months in office he has spent more money then bush did in 4 years

Temporary Nationalisation of the companies is a good move. Vince Cable, the only man to predict this economic downturn and former economic spokesman for Shell-B, has said this, he's been right about everything now. The compnaies can be privatised again at a later date, its easier to sell them off when they're doing well.

What about Capitalism and the free trade market? With the government controlling all the businesses what makes you think they privatize back the economy? there have been many people that have predicated the economic down turn. And since when can the government come in and change contracts ETC... the companies like GM should FAIL period the strong survive weak fail of your company makes a bad decision and causes it do go bankrupt so what the government should not bail ANY BUSINESS OUT!!

I strongly believe n the free market, but i also believe in protecting peoples saving during these tough times. I dont support big bailouts of the the banking system. TEMPORARY (keep that word in mind) nationalisation of buissnesses to protect jobs until the market picks up. This economic crisis is down to lack of regulation (or decent regulation) and the risks bank managers took, people like you and me should not be suffering for it.

I Hear what you are saying but we would not be suffering for it if we just lets the companies fail and the government keep there noises out of it. Now we are more in debt and will have to be taxed more to pay for stuff that we didn't do. we are suffering right now and we will be paying for this 50 years from now. If the companies were allowed to fail it would not make us suffer we are drowning under all this debt. When do we say enough spending is enough we don't have the money to pay for it.

I agree we should have not bailed out banks, we should have leet the ones which had taken the big risks fail, temporaraly nationalised the ones which are victims (just asmuch as its customers) and instead invested in the future. The spending was a good idewa, where it was put (quite alot of it) was not. We should be investing in green energy, so we are not so independant on oil we can no long afford from countries which hate the west.

I have a better idea since if we put solar panels and wind turbines and hydro electric plants everywhere possible we can only get a max of 15 percent of our energry needed in the US... why don't we DRILL OUR OIL we have more OIL THEN ANY COUNTRY in the world why don't we drill it would could keep prices low and export oil be making money for the country and the slowly work our way into clean energy... Global warming is just a scam to make everything go up in price...

besides several LIBERAL Studies In the UNITED STATES have come out and said the earths temperature will continue to DECREES for the next 30 years. How to you explain the ICE PACK in the Bering Sea keeps further south year after year i don't think global warming has anything to do with making the earth cooler... Oh i didn't realize you where from the UK you see in the US we use tons of green energy and would not be able to supply more the 15 percent of our grid with green energy. Global warming is not a scam how can you explain where i live in Spokane WA we on average have 1 foot of snow fall a year the past two years the county has had 165 feet of snow the RECORD IN THE US it has been colder and harsher winters. You know the world cycles GO UP AND DOWN every twenty years it is nothing new

Ahh, now there is SOME truth in that, the earth does get warmer and cooler as the amazon realses and takes in CO2, the problem is, that fact that the amazon isnt able to handle all the CO2 that we pump into the environment, as a result this planet is getting warmer at a speed far faster than it should be. The globe may warm on its own, but, none of the records show it getting so hot so fast.

Explain to me then how ICE Core samples that have been taken show the CO2 has nothing to do with the earths temperature... The warmer the earth is the more CO2 there is not the other way around that is what you global warming fans don't understand you look at the ice core records 600 hundred years ago it was twice as warm and the CO2 was higher then today. How did that happen?

Sorry i have been away from my computer but for your source look up NOAA's Vostok ice core records you will find all the records show the CO2 level has nothing to do with global temp so WE CAN"T be causing global warming... Obama's actions and plans are destroying the US economy HE has spent 4 times the amount bush did in his 8 years on stuff that has nothing to do with the economy like 2 new planes for Air Force One 100 millions dollars worth of China... the list goes on and on

And who decides which banks to bailout? They are companies not run by the government you see we bailed out everyone so now when they run low on money they are going to go back to the government oh they are going to bail me out... we only put a bandage on the problem you need the weak to fail and the strong to survive if we bail everyone out 30 years down the line this will all happen again

The banks which didnt make the big risks should have been bailed out, not the ones that made them, its a simple selection.

Government interference in the free interactions of people(the market) is ALWAYS an attempt to cheat reality. Insane and childish. It's a game of let's pretend. Let's pretend that everyone has earned and can afford a house. Let's pretend that everyone is equally credit worthy. Let's take money from some people and give it to others so we all can pretend that they are prosperous.

You can fool reality only for so long. Then it all comes crashing down. Reality always wins. Game Over.
