  • the violins wander off all board and when the cello guy starts plucking then the violins are like "lets join the party" :)

  • Love it - Pachelbel is a Genius - look how many artist he keeps engaged !

  • I wonder if the Cello player was actually annoyed, or pretended to be annoyed

  • @d4m4s74 i fucking wonder

  • @d4m4s74 he's pretending.. thats part of the routine !

  • @tarpad986 pretty sure its just an alteration on the tango

  • Actually, our school had a pretty epic cello part for pachelbel...the basses got the repeating parts..

  • @asianppl168 yeah well i can play the melody aswell on cello its just I HAVE TO play the 8 notes

  • Brilliant!

  • i dont get it....

  • @abbonent watch this > watch?v=JdxkVQy7QLM

  • This is really funny, it's sense of humor reminds me of Les Luthiers :)

  • 29 people have sense of humor.

  • 5:19, way to be different viola! XD

  • The "Canon in D" is WRITTEN by Pachelbel, Paganini is a completely different composer!

  • @ariellejsa paGAGnini are the performers.

  • @ariellejsa Pagagnini is the name of the people playing. Notice the paGAGnini part.

  • @garr711 Ok. Sorry!

  • Am I the only one wondering if the stuff sprinkled on the stage is cocaine?

  • Which is this song? -> 6:31 - 7:40

I've been looking at the Canon by Pachelbel but...

  • the trombones have the exact same prob as the celliss

  • A complete fake... sad.

  • @anterix1999 What do you mean "fake"?

  • @budemma45 They are not playing that. At least not live. I find that very sad.

  • @anterix1999 Oh dear. If that is true, then that is very sad. Sorry I misunderstood what you meant :)

  • @anterix1999 i have seen this show live and, the principal violinist: Ara Malikian, many times and they were allways playing it for sure

  • @sonmank I dont doubt you. And if I'm seeing and earing wrong, I'm sorry. But or this video has very out of sync parts, or something very fishy is going on. For example, the celo fingering doesn't match what we ear. And it's just an example. Much of what I see there doesn't match what I ear. But hey, it isn't such a big deal. It's a very funny scketch. But I steel think its a recording. Not live. But I could be wrong.

  • @anterix1999 Much like you and your false comments, eh mate?

  • The celloist is looks really bored lol

  • LOL I think this is most hilarious to cellists that have had to play this part in an orchestra... Great playing, and acting!

  • LOL I think this is most hilarious to cellists that have had to play this part in an orchestra...

  • Bach called Pachelbel his mentor. This is Pachelbel's Canon and far from being "the most boring song ever" as one commentator put it, this tune has been referred to by contemporary musicians probably more than any other. Not bad for a tune written 350 years ago. I hope I get to write boring ones like that! WHAT CONSUMATELY BRILLIANT MUSICIANS AND ENTERTAINERS THESE GUYS ARE!! Thoroughly delightful. Enjoyed immensely.

  • @robertpmc Most boring cello part, he means.

  • Cello player is the star...

  • What is the remix that they played after the waltz tune?

  • Pachelbel= Silent Bob

  • 27 people are deaf!!! =D

  • Like the most annoying of flies... *bzz bzz*

  • I play the cello and i really like this song

  • the cellist seems bored.I wonder why...LOL

  • The cellist does what probably every cellist/bassist has done while playing this. I did this in school, so I identified immediately. Loved it.

  • what song is this

  • @dirtybike766 this is canon in d written by pachabel

  • @dirtybike766 this is canon in d written by pachabel

  • hahhaha! great :D:D:D

  • *giggles* When I get married, I want these guys to do my wedding. ^_^

  • this is awesome. I am LMFAO!

  • That one dude totally Jimmy Page'd and Charlie Daniels'd that violin at the end.

  • Cellist: If they run another lap around me one more time...

    Lol

    Bravo Pagagnini!

  • The 2nd violinist look like Jim Carey

  • im a violin player and when that dude started playing like that it felt like my brain was about to boil in my skull :(

  • Love this

  • Awesome

  • wow, they're so amazing, they can play without using the correct bow position! and the first violinist can play without even touching the string! wOw, hahaha, technology these days

  • @yvtboy1 He is touching the string, and it's easier to play different styles holding the bow different ways...

  • @yvtboy1

    no one cares!

  • @yvtboy1 If you're alleging that it's pre-recorded, the first thing I noticed was that the 2nd violinist missed his cue to come in. It's possible that they recorded it with a mistake, but I think that that's a bit implausible.

  • 25 people play Cello.

  • @Grandmusicman Very funny. I play the cello, and LOVE this. This is so epic. So just be careful what you say, please. :-)

  • if every quartet was like this i just might start to like classical music

  • For the effort, I like this :-D

  • i wouldn't like to pay to re-hair his bow!!! xx

  • You actually have to be really good to make it sound that bad :)

  • How can anyone not like this?

  • i love it :D

  • funny but not very funny

  • i am a cello player and boy do i feel his pain that is the most boring song EVER. They just keep coming back.

  • @doctorwho951 It repeats the same 8 quarter notes 54 times it is SO boring.

  • @doctorwho951 - As a fellow cellist - Agreed!!! It's long been a suspicion of mine that the loop box was created by cellists to obviate the need to be there and play this.

  • @SirKirkus he said he is a cellist and he is clearly referring to the cello part. you play it. tell me how fun those 8 quarter notes are.

  • @doctorwho951 Maybe you forgot they're dancing too?

  • i am a cello player and boy do i feel his pain that is the most boring song EVER.

  • I get the swaying thing, I can't help but sway when I play this on guitar.

  • What is the name of the song with the rose? I must know... I want that song! Help

  • Wow, that's a whole new level of entertainment! Great arrangement, originality, comedy and amazing musical skills all thrown in to one! Fantastic!

  • After the tango part... when they play the cannon in a minor mode... aren't they doing an imitation of director Emir Kusturika's music? because they make the same mad face :S maybe is just my imagination. Aniway! the whole piece is just brillant! :)

  • 8:00 = Jewhan Pachelbel

  • The cellist looks pissed off at the violinist

  • holy shit it's kirk hammett

  • 23 people have been severely beaten by angry cellists

  • the cellist looks like he's going to kill someone. or strike them. hard.

  • hahaha XD awesome XD

  • Why is Pavarotti randomly playing cello? D:

  • Nice. Did you see how one of them totally destroyed his bow during this performance? At the end, the one on the right has a fistful of frayed bowstrings hanging off his bow.

  • @Radien that was his hair xD

  • @DuhuKaralius - Awww. I don't know whether to be relieved or disappointed.

  • @Radien Just try to feel the magic bro! :>

  • @DuhuKaralius I'm feelin' it!

  • haha definitely some Igudesman and Joo influence here!!

  • @PaulMaccasBiggestFan that hurts! I'm a cellist and I thought this was awesome haha

  • @kyonkyoncoke I used to play cello for recreation. It was fun.

  • The objections are proof that we, as a people, did not ground our children in the classics. As a child I had Leonard Bernstein drawing me through the orchestra. Today, you have whom? Lady Gaga?

Today you laugh at the greatest contemporary interpreter of the compositions and variations, though the originals may actually be by composers he out lived by decades, even centuries, of the great PDQ Bach? Do you realize how far short of the mark you have fallen?

  • @mikewarns Unless you were born over 100 years ago, same thing happens with every generation. Some like classical music, some like popular music, some like them both. And parodies? Well, even Mozart composed parodies. They are as old as music itself.

  • 23 people don't have good taste

  • WHo are they ? they are wonderful!

  • Playing cello standing up is fun until you stab your foot with the endpin.

  • They invented classicalmusiccomedy. :-)

Woow! Makes me laugh and goosebumps at the same time!

    Respect!

  • Best version ever!

  • that poor poor cellist.. doesnt get to have fun :C

i am so happy i never had to play this in band lol

  • I remember playing Pacheibel in school. Why couldn't we have played it that way?!

  • Love the cellist. c:

Is there even a violist in there? :o

  • 555+

  • lol love the cellist :D

  • just wow..

  • Amazing.

  • The definition of a string quartet:

One good violinist, one bad violinist, one wannabe violinist and one who absolutely hates violinists...

  • @Andratenor I play the viola. I am in NO WAY a wannabe violinist.

  • @Andratenor That is probably my favorite youtube comment I've ever seen. Thank you.

  • @Andratenor Actually, violists are better than both sections of violinists because our parts are their hardest sections put together.

  • that was pretty incredible! I like how they emphasized that the cello parts sucks to play :P

  • This is AMAZING

  • i love classical music, i love comedy, this is awesome

  • Quality! Who ever thought classical music and comedy would work together? The guy or gal who thought that up deserves a medal!

  • @kevsrs Classical music has been used for, combined with and employed in classical music since before the divine creator of your grandfather invented diapers so he could wear it.

  • @kevsrs try js bach

  • @kevsrs or try PDQ Bach

  • Haha ya I noticed! Funny! :)

  • anyone notice that the viola player got his hair caught in his bow at the end?

  • hahaha amazing~!

  • Oh gods, this made me laugh so much and in a good way. They're all talented players putting the classical pieces into a comedy twist... There are some parts where they play their instruments and I'm like: o.O Can they really do that?

  • hey nice video :) i make vlogs occasionally :) if you like my vids maybe subscribe? :)

  • Absolutely splendid!

  • problem, cellists?

  • so fucking amazing!

  • Wow!

  • goodness, that was amazing!

  • lol @1:14 perty melodies n SCREECH!! SCRATCH!!

  • I wouldn't have stopped clapping!

    Awesome!!

  • what does this have to do with paganini?

  • @evilmangoeater The name of the group performing is Pagagnini. it's not a typo. :3

  • @cellogal1994 well, I wasn't questioning on whether it was a typo. Its just when I typed Paganini into google, all it gave me was the violinist who lived in the 1800s

  • @evilmangoeater well, because Paganini was a violinist who lived in the 1800s. This group's name is PaGAGnini.

  • @cellogal1994 danke

  • the guy at 1:14 is worse than my brother

  • To my fellow cellists out there.

DON"T PLAY THIS SONG!!! YOU WILL GO TO HELL, AND GUESS WHO'S THERE?!?!?!?! PACHABEL!!!

  • Hehehehe, the guy who goes crazy fast on the violin must lose a lot of hairs on the bow that wat.

  • Lol. 2:50 ftw

  • 8:40 SO FAST:)

  • 7:40 IS FUNNY

  • these guys are with one word AWE-SO-ME!!

  • Does anyone know names of songs at 3:48 (not the mexican hat song ,the chromatic one before that) and tango song at 6:32 ?

Reply please i ll appreciate it

    Thanks in advance

  • @hayta1001 At 6:32 it's just Pachelbel's Canon again...it's simply arranged in a Tango beat. I'm not sure what song you're referring to at 3:48 besides the Mexican Hat dance but I'm guessing it's either the Canon again or it's a simple chord progression.

  • @WilbyWooster found that "la cumparsita" is the name for that little tango melody

  • I love it!! They are so talented.

  • That was so funny. :)

  • 3:55

    I'm dying here...

  • How does this have only 170,000 views....?

  • Genious <3 I love it

  • Clever :)

  • the celist looks somewhat like pavarotti

  • @fedeymini Oh, you see that too. o.O

  • Now that Cello dude is damn cool. playing pizzicato on Canon is damn good!

  • Why is this considered to be a response to "Pachelbel Rant"?

  • @DaveTKNeal because in pachelbel rant paravonian expresses his resentments towards pachelbel's canon in d. so this is a response: a gag version. or so i think.

  • What is the Tango in this video called??? Any1 can help???

  • @Whitealps22 Hernando's Hideaway from DAMN YANKEES

  • @dgcarsten Pajama Game.

  • @Whitealps22

i dun think it is, it sounds like they re-wrote it into the parallel minor, correct me if i'm wrong anyone tho.

  • @Whitealps22

  • These guys are brilliant musicians! Too bad the quality is low. Does anydody have it in higher quality?

  • My Dad for some reason thinks this is called the Motzart Group, But I tell him they are called The Pagagnini Group. Am I right, or is he right ?

  • @EmilyistheName This group is PAgagNINI. However, there is another classical comedy quartet called Moz'ART.

  • @caitlyn62442 Thank you so much for replying I can finally show my dad, that they are both two tottaly diffrent groups ! :)

  • Amazing performance!!

  • wow o_o mad talent there!

  • Fabulous!

  • haha this is awesome! no matter what they did to change itm it still sounded great!!

  • the way u guys act remind me of my high school orchestra, we always use to act like that, im going to miss it so much.

  • I love that bit at 2:31 and it's sad how the cello has to play 8 notes for the whole time.

Haha I love when they start dancing around the cellist and he's just playing his cello- no emotion at all XD The bit where the cellist drops his bow on the floor and it doesn't fall but stands straight is cool! LOL poor cellist :(

  • What's the group's name?

  • @ArtShower What about...Pagagnini?

  • I LOVE THIS! The d minor section is brilliant... :)

  • @06cornej That is my favorite part
