@instructer8 it's not necessary at all, not with two cvr 12's. I had 2 cvr 12's in my 97 mirage with a 80somethin amp alternator and had miniscule light dimming, so its not a must at all.
mtx subs r okay, and rockford subs r horrible rockford is known for there amps not there subs, i take it none of u have heard of the good subwoofers like Fi BTL, ascendant audio, DD, memphis, or orion, those r the subwoofers you want, not rockford, mtx, kenwood, pioneer, alpine, all those r garbage for the most part, u make think its loud, but udk loud until uve heard a real system
actually rockfords p3s and t line series subs are decent... i'd take a rockford over a mtx anyday. and comparing Fi DD AA to kicker kenwood etc is like comparing a stock civic to a modded supra..

becareful with that small of a trunk if you get some more decent subs like thse or better ones they'll fuck shit especially the trunk. i had thse p2's blow the hinges off my toyota celica n it had a really small drunk. i ended up just boltin the trunk down. my trunk was just a lil bit smaller than urz.
Oh n the reason why i was tryin to fry them is cause i got a 4 year warranty on them n if they fry i get new ones. But mtx subs are pretty good tho to. i think rockford is still better tho.
rockford fosgate to me personally is the best type of subs you can have there extremely good n they last a long time. i have two p2 series punch's n ive had them for 3 years in may n they still hit as hard as the day i bought em. there really good subs ive tryed to fry em n they wont give. ive hookd em up 2 a 2400 watt amp n they fried the amp n there only 400 watts a piece explain that one. ive hookd em up to a battery n a battery charger n they wldnt fry either. there really reliable subs.

i got a friend w/ 2 of these and we went 2 a comp just 2 see how good they are i got 4 2000w 12" lightning audios2 ohm subs wired 1 ohm pushin it w/ 10,000w i had 166.3 db my friend hit 93.6 and they blew pushin w/ an audio pipe 1200w

Of course the solox is way better than the mtx, but look at the price it costs about 1200 for one sub, and the 2 mtx with the box cost about 400. so do the math.
a good comparison would be the solo X and the MTX thnder 9500. but i still think the solo x would probably win.
had 0 gauge running to the kinetik battery then 4 gauge running to the amp but i did have an adapter that i put the 0 gauge in and it would fit in the 4 gauge slot, they had it at circuit city
get a deck with an LP filter and you can take out all of the bass from your door and rear speakers -dalilprofessa109. just a suggestion i dont really know a whole bunch

they must be 2 ohms if they hittin like that.. the amp pushes out 750rms at 2ohm

Definitely Banging! I would just say change to a ported fiberglass box . It would lessen the rattle on the outside. Ur car subs like this guy I use to work with. He bought a taxi's Crown Vic and pimped it with a Mercury front end wit viper red paint. The whole trunk was enclosed with the back panel acting as the ports!!

okay man have u tried those facing inwards and not slapping the back of uer trunk before???? i noticed that with them that close at least in my car it sounds very distorted.... my box is vented though so that may be the diffrence....

i got a friend w/ 2 of these and we went 2 a comp just 2 see how good they are i got 4 2000w 12" lightning audios2 ohm subs wired 1 ohm pushin it w/ 10,000w i had 166.3 db my friend hit 93.6 and they blew pushin w/ an audio pipe 1200w

can you turn it all the way up with the 750.1 amp and not have to worry about anything or will it only go up to the 750.1 RMS on each sub with that amp? and yeah do you need the extra battery?

How can you even compare those two types of subs? They are not even in the same category, that is the same as comparing a pair Xplod's to a pair of RE's. But I can't expect much from someone who looks OHH so intelligent in their videos. So take your remedial self to a video that actually merits some comparison. Of course the solox is way better than the mtx, but look at the price it costs about 1200 for one sub, and the 2 mtx with the box cost about 400. so do the math.
a good comparison would be the solo X and the MTX thnder 9500. but i still think the solo x would probably win.
the set up in your video was nice by the way.

had 0 gauge running to the kinetik battery then 4 gauge running to the amp but i did have an adapter that i put the 0 gauge in and it would fit in the 4 gauge slot, they had it at circuit city

get a deck with an LP filter and you can take out all of the bass from your door and rear speakers -dalilprofessa109. just a suggestion i dont really know a whole bunch
