this show still holds up after all these years. better than the crap on cartoon network on a saturday morning. anyone remember the name of the episode with the trains?
@MyBloodbrother true; it's the same guy (Frank Welker) and he does the voices for Ray and Slimer, and did just about every other cartoon going for the last thirty years
4:00 ITS THE BOOGIEMAN, what a fucked up voice , oh and its just cool for three grown ass men to be in these kids house with the parents asleep hahaha, these kids are prime rape candidates
I think what makes this show so amazing for children and adults, is that it is an adult show enjoyed by kids. I never saw it as a child, but now when I watch it I get very frightened and honestly only understand half of the jargon Egon throughs around if any!
Best Boogieman ever, and I really feel bad for egon! :( best episode ever!
i can remember when i was 6 years old alone in my dark basement. i turned on the tv and this very episode was on. the image of the ghost from that closet scared the living shit outa me. i literally had bad dreams for years.
@yougumbo9 i know exactly what you mean! one day, i watched ghostbusters, and the boogeyman was back. i screamed and cried and my mom had to turn off the TV for me.. :D
The boogey is powered by the children scary. One of rare appearances of this kind of monster on tv. Parents in wordwide use this creature with no shape to disturb disobedient kids. I think it isn't recommended for weaks to watch this episode before to sleep.
@ninjawraith17 Jim Cummings was actually the voice of Robotnik, the Tasmanian Devil, Scar in "Be Prepared". He sang the entirety of it, while Irons was the spoken-word parts. The only one you have right in that list is Stripe.
That damn ghost hauling ass in optimus prime....! I like that voice on louie the gangster ghost is funny, "Ive been framed seee.. but yeah this episode stuck with me a long time.....also sandman and al capone...
I thank my parents for introducing me to the wonderful world of horror. I also like to give a huge thanks to the person who uploaded this. I am going to get the DVD set as soon as possible.
Ahhhhhh!!!! Man this is so creepy. SHit man chills are going down my spine and tears are rolling down my face right now. This episode forever left a huge scar in my young childhood. Many, many years later I look back and remember seeing that monsters face in every closet, dark corner and even inside the refrigerator. It also doesn't help that my mom showed me Halloween 2 that same week. But I wouldn't exchange any of these memories for anything in world. Set the footprint for the rest of my life.
Ha, i love Winston. Despite the fact that he's the non-scientist of the core four, he's still a clever dude. When I was a kid, I thought it was cool that he stayed outside Megan and Kenny's home until morning, shows how passionate he is about his job.
hey im from lithuania i watched this epiosde wehn i was 10 or 11 and I used to stare at the closet all the time because of this cartoon :D i was affraid a boogeyman is gonna come out of it .. One of the scariiest animations ever!
Someone needs to make an ICP boogey woogie AMV to this episode LOL!! that would be perfect. "boys and girls its nighty night time Happy J the clown has a nursery Rhyme its about the Boogey Woogie MAN!! Keep the light on as long as you CAN!!!"
It's funny. When I was a little kid the Boogie Man scared the bejeezus outta me. For years after, when I was in dark rooms or whatever I'd remember his voice and get seriously creeped out. I thought I'd watch it again, see how ridiculous it looks now that I'm all grown up... and instead he scares the bejeezus out of me all over again.
I love how Winston jumps right in on this one. I miss old fashioned 80s racism. Everyone was so uncomfortable, cause no one had any idea what to think about the topic at the time ^_^
Again, I don't know why but the Boogieman never scared me as a kid. The Werechicken always scared the fuck out of me, that's only because I lived on a farm.
@valoguy The Boogieman didn't scare me either. Although, I was really freaked out by ghosts that possessed objects in the show. I watched Poltergeist when I was 5; big mistake.
@super17a when ur like 3 years old, you are already afraid of the boogey man. Then, an episode like this shows up, it basically says all hell could exist in your closet, and it freaked me out for years.
Ohh sshhh..!!! That boogie man really scared me when I was a kid and when they say it wasn't a ghost it scared me even more. I got nightmares : O ! After this show I used to sleep with the lights on for some days.
Same here. I had several nightmares after watching this episode. It forced me to get rid of a bunkbed because it had a cupboad built in to it. The boogie man and the wolf from never-ending story were the source of most my nightmares as a child.
It's funny that you say that because now that I'm an adult, I can think of quite a few episode of Ghostbusters that I scared the hell out of me as a kid and had me looking at my closet at night :)
I didn't see that many of these pritor to my first turrent. The most recent episode I did she on actyualy tv was Revenge of Murry the Mantisis. Even though some of the more die hard fans probably complained about staypuuf being a seperate entiy from gozzer. This was one of the few episode were having around was practical. The monster Pka level was so hard that they had to have staypuff fight hi to keep him occoupied o they could blast him long enough to destroyed him. He was made from ghost esc
@MeinWecker ha ha you telling me!!!! This episode scared me so bad that I used to watch my closet thinking that he was gonna come out after me when I was a kid...I hated this episode..lol. Maybe things will be different now that Im much older
@MeinWecker - Half of this shit wasn't. Scared me half to fucking death as a kid, always had nightmares. But one thing is true, they don't make it like this anymore.
