I agree with you. All that screaming and pushing... the only thing that came out of it is Tom and Bill signing a couple autographs each, with Gustav and Georg having to move along towards their cars before they could even sign one. Now if everybody were more calm, there would have been 15, 20, 30 happy girls who would have gotten autographs... but instead they just chased them away.

(I don't mean to critisize the Russian fans specifically, it's like that everywhere they go...)

I do have to admit that I have never been that big a fan of anybody to want to chase them down the streets... so I really just can't understand what seems to me like over-excitement.

I must say I also feel like their "reinforced" security doesn't help either. I think if less bodyguards were there most fans would automatically be more respectful of the boys' breathing space, feel more responsable of their actions... while as it is they sort of rely on security to do their job.
