Over many years we have all been lied to by our Govts. Not just our Govts but by Religous Leaders. We have been taught things that are not in Scripture & many have swallowed many lies by these false prophets. If you are a truth seeker please visit the web site which is displayed in our user name & take the time to read some of the articles. You will be shocked. THERE IS A GREAT AUDIO FOR YOU TO LISTEN TO. You WILL COME AWAY ASKING MANY QUESTIONS. REAL SHOCKING.
The best argument one can make for Canada is the vast reservoir of water resources which is not the case with Oz. In the future, wars might eventually have to be fought over this precious commodity much moreso than oil.
Well, in the event of a US collapse and a hypothetical war a lot of jobs would also disappear worldwide and that would include jobs in Oz & Canada. Given such a worse case scenario, bare existence would become the norm rather than the exception and water resources would become vital, even moreso since a lot of crops depend on it and one can survive far longer on just plain water than food. But the challenge would be staying warm in Canada's bitter cold winter especially near mountainous areas.
Shit, I might be in China when this happens. I'm not going to want to be an American in that country when the US government screws them over. Who knows what that crooked Chinese government will do? Where should one go? Canada?
You could go to Canada but they will be suffering as the US does. I'd say Europe would be the best place to be, or potentially South Korea since they are cozy with Canada/USA and need language teachers.
It seems like Europe is also imploding though. Maybe Australia? I thought that Canada would be OK because of their natural resources. Maybe South Korea is OK, it's a cool country after all.
I'll probably be going to China anyway, my motives for that are not simply to avoid as US crash.
This is a myth/fallacy that a country is going to be OK with natural resources. What happens when natural resource prices plunge ?? Jobs connected to them go way down. Australia might work.
Well, If demand for Chinese products in the US and Europe tanks I wonder if demand for Aussie resources would still be the same in China. No one's saying that countries with resources won't be affected but rather that they have a far higher likelihood of surviving a coming storm if they are self-sufficient for the most part. If Europe was less dependent on Russian oil and gas wouldn't it survive a crisis far longer if it can supply its own energy needs.
I want to work and live in East Asia for a while. It seems like a good place for an ambitious finance major. It could help me with an MBA later, knowing the language is valuable, etc.
I live in Canada, and things are still pretty good. We are making trade deals with China, and our leaders realize we cannot rely on American exports forever.
Australia would be a good place to go. Its just like Canada, except they rely on China for exports instead of the USA like Canada. Oh yeah, and im sure the weather is a hell of alot nicer LOL.
@chaseef : I don't know where you live, but most of Canada is in a BAD spot. The only places doing "well" are Western Canada and maybe Ottawa (although they are laying ppl off like crazy). The only thing we export now is natural resources; in essence Canada is a banana republic.
good clear interview

Yeah but when currencies crash, it's good to have something of value. I agree with your premise though,
