  • And fuck that bitch Robyn. Who says a movie sucks to the director who made it!?

  • @BitchesCallMeTFree An honest person?

  • What a shitty interview. The scene in Requiem for a Dream was where Jennifer Connelly is doing double penetration is not sexual at all. It's meant to be degrading and disturbing.

  • Aronofsky degraded himself with this interview , The Fountain was genius

  • Over the years, Howard's questions of his guests have become increasingly dumb.

  • Some balls on Robin calling The Fountain a bad movie with Aronofsky on the line, even if it is rude.

  • @mattd687 The Fountain was a great movie... it's just not for everyone.

  • @mutterdutterdud Why did you think they sucked?

  • @mutterdutterdud What's a good film in your opinion? Give an example.

  • @mutterdutterdud Hello. Black Swan wasn't incoherent. It just wasn't linear. I personally love Aronofsky's movies. They are so disturbing at times, and every viewing can reveal something new. Requiem for a Dream was so dark and scary like Scorsese's Taxi Driver with De Niro. These types of films add to the variety instead of adding more of the same. I love that kind of art that makes me feel sort of sick. It balances out the glossiness of all things pretty and nice.

  • @mutterdutterdud Requiem is extremely dark and depressing just warning you.

  • @mutterdutterdud No problem,it's a great movie

  • @mutterdutterdud We've seen a a movie about drug addiction many times, it's a tired theme. I was surprised about Marlon Wayans, he was a great surprise(I've always liked Leto and Connelly) I can't say I have a true number one, I do love movies, The first 2 God-fathers, Raging Bull, The Usual Suspects, All the presidents men, Mystic river, Once upon a time in America, The pope of greenwhich village, Dead man walking. As far as Aronofsky, I've never seen Pi or the fountain, loved the Wrestler

  • @trulysarcastic Maybe you should watch some non-english-speaking movies before you open your mouth about movies

  • @finkeLpro I named a few movies I enjoy watching and you took offense to that?

  • @trulysarcastic I just read your comment and saw that you were speaking about movies, then i read your favourite movies and i laughed at you because obviously you don't know anything about movies

  • @mutterdutterdud Black Swan was about a dancer having a mental breakdown. The point was to show a window into a life. The mother's insanity infected her. The plot was there, it just wasn't laid out in an obvious way from the beginning. I think this style of film puts the viewer into the position of voyeur, like you shouldn't be watching, but you can't look away.

  • The Fountain is a movie you either love or hate. I am one of the many people that happens to love it, but I can totally see why someone might not. But that Robin woman was just being a real bitch about it.

  • I know Howard loves and has loyalty to Robin from the early days, etc., and I swear this is nothing personal but I have always felt Robin was the biggest waste of space in the history of radio broadcasting. I simply do not get it.

  • God what crawled up Robins ass

  • why are they asking this great director these dumb eight grade questions

  • Howard stern and his crew sound like fucking idiots.

  • Robin was just being honest, plus Darren even told her to feel free to trash the movie

  • Everyone on the Howard Stern show is completley INSOLENT!! Especially Robin!!!!

  • I really loved the fountain, even if I didn't get it.

  • the fountain is one of my favorites and darren is brilliant , many people dont get the fountain but the people that do will never forget it

  • I hope Robin didn't realize how much time and effort goes into making a movie, or even what Darren's role was in it. To say to his face that's a "bad movie" is actually very insulting

  • Aronofsky is a genius!! the woman was so rude!!

  • Opie and Anthony rule

  • stern and Robin are clueless. asking dumb questions to the best director of our time

  • The Fountain is the best thing Darren ever done. I'm glad he knows that.

  • @Phabulouso Yeah The Fountain had balls.

  • i loved the fountain, hated requiem for a dream. pretty actors just junkying it up, BLLAAAHH. only good part was the double ended didlo scene, very sexy.

  • The Fountain was probably the most genius film i've ever seen. It gets even better and more enlightening the more your watch it.

  • "ass ta ass"

  • Pi was the big movie when I went to sundance one year. I saw the premiere and liked it because it was audacious and original, but it was not a really well done movie.

  • The Wrestler was a good movie, but not a great movie. Mickey Rourke was the whole movie, he carried it completely. With anyone else it would have been just okay.

  • @elanarab I love Mickey Rourke, he carried the movie because it's basically about him. He is The Ram.

  • @elanarab I'm surprised so many people think that! They think all it had going for it was Mickey Rourke's performance and otherwise it was just a decent movie, but I thought the actual movie was as good as Rourke's performance! Darren Aronofsky is a genius director

  • People who dont get The Fountain had too much mercury in their vaccines.

  • For me 'The Fountain' is the masterwork of Aronofsky and one of the best films ever made. Second comes 'The Wrestler' and third 'Requiem for a Dream'. Anyway, I think Aronofsky is one of the most talented directors working today. The man is really one of a kind. He's unique.

  • Darren's first "feature" was Pi.

  • I guess Darren forgot all about his first three films? Weird...

    Darren Aronofsky

    The Wrestler (2008)

    The Fountain (2006)

    Requiem for a Dream (2000)

    Pi (1998)

    Protozoa (1993)

    Fortune Cookie (1991)

    Supermarket Sweep (1991)

  • the first three are from when he was in grad school

  • Robin's fake laugh is obnoxious as hell.

  • i heard the fountain is a amazing movie. still gotta check it out.

  • fountain's the weakest. but still worth watching

  • Aronofsky sounds so miserable in this interview.

  • Jesus Robin's a bitch!

  • Nic Cage could have bulked up. He was pretty ripped in Con Air.

  • Robin must be crazy..."The Fountain" is a fantastic movie.

  • @philipsmog:

The cinematography is absolutely stunning. The story is fantastic. Well...it's one of those movies which you either get or not get. There's no controvery though that the cinematography is sensational.

  • i didn't remember the title, but when i searched i remember it. the fountain gave me the chills.... it was pretty good

  • Howard made a good point. Marisa Tomei's body was unbelievable in this movie. She looks damn good for a 44 year old woman.

Nick Cage is a great actor, but he wouldn't have been right for this part. He's too thin and doesn't have a wrestler's build. He was great in Leaving Las Vegas and Vampire's Kiss.

Mickey was a perfect fit for this movie.

  • 44?!? holy shit!

I thought she was in her 20's lol

  • Robin gave me serious douche chills when she started to rip on The Fountain

  • wow ... robin is the queen of all CUNTS .... what the fuck did she ever make? ....she's not an artist

  • true.robin is doing nothinnnnnnnnnnng.she gets paid i dont know how much money and she s not even funny. all she does is interrupt funny interviews with her stupid questions

  • To the person below. The name of the song is Metal Health by Quiet Riot and the line is "Bang Your Head" Showing my age here.

Anyway can anyone imagine what an incredible turd this movie would have been with Nicholas Cage as The Ram? I don't even want to think about that. As it stands this movie will go down as one of my all time favorites.

  • it wouldn't have been a turd cause aronofsky is directing. It wouldn't have been the great film it was though.

  • my favorite part on the wrestler is the beginning, ...that "Raise Your Head!" song with that montage of back when that guy was Hot Shit.....showing him with the title and stuff...

  • God robin sucks

  • as someone with a juvenile sense of humor, even i think howard stern isn't much of a comedian. "did you bang jennifer connelly"? clever.

  • Stern is King!

  • Robin has such an annoying, smug voice.

  • thats all you dude.

  • For a second, it sounds like Artie is hoping that "Pi" is about pie.

  • after i heard about the movie wrestler from howard stern. i went check it out. it was a great film. i hate it in the begining but it kept me there waiting for the story to unfold. cuz it was a great movie...slum dogg mill was over rated. Marisa Tomei should won for the best supporting artress for her role as a stripper!!!! she got robbed

  • cos she's a fuckin ignorant fat bitch

  • Hey, keep the great interviews coming ! You have the best stuff on here, so keep posting !

  • (Afraid to say anything).

  • Hahahahaha, wow, bertinotti's a fucking retard.

  • wow, such sublime ad hominem, wankenbauer

  • thanks for posting

  • pi is amazing man

  • Robin is a no talent bitch. She is known for talking crap about guests while they are being interviewed.

Puffy was there and she talked about his clothes looking horrible. Even if they do, that's not the point. The point is that she has zero talent and feels the need to talk shit about people who actually achieve something.

  • She's hot and she and Howard play off one another very well, adds to the overrall entertainment of the show.

  • Robin is hot?

I guess if you like matronly black women, with giant gunts.

    She's horrible and a leach.

  • WOW, black women, huh? yuk!

  • seriously, who does that no-talent "news woman" think she is telling the one of the greatest young directors to "shut up"?

  • yeah... didn't she say she hated the fountain? who does that to the person they're interviewing? "oh i hated your last movie. thanks for coming on the show though!"

  • Well Howard at first said he didn't even remember Requiem.

Robin was honest, so what? What kind of prick director would want to only talk to people who will kiss his ass the entire interview.

  • uh you don't have to say "oh i loved your last movie! it was a masterpiece!" but don't say that you hated it. just dont discuss it, or say something polite like "its just not my kind of movie". only on the howard stern show will someone say something so rude like that to the person who generously agreed to an interview.

  • when was he on howard stern??

  • He called in last Thursday.

  • i thought The Fountain was amazing, really complex though.

and thank fuck they didn't do The Wrestler with Nic Cage, it would've turned out like Nacho Libre 2.

  • Yeah, I dont expect Robin to appreciate a film or book that requires a lot of thought.

She seems like an easily amused child with a low IQ.

  • Don't insult Nacho Libre. Slapstick/physical comedy is Jack Black's art, and with Nacho Libre he painted a masterpiece.

  • don't get me wrong, i LOVE Jack Black. but as a wreslting fan, i HATE when a film tries to make it out to be real.

  • Eh, anyone going on the show should know not to expect any degree of politeness.

  • whoops, meant that other comment for someone else.

It was a comedy though, why does it matter if an absurd comedy portrays wrestling as being real?

  • i dunno, i mean, coz even the wreslters themselves don't try to make it still real anymore, so why do that in the films?

i just cannot wait to see this film. but just you wait until the ammount of rip offs that come out from it.

  • Hey Robin:

Feel free to criticize people who have actually created something out of nothing, put hard work into an artistic project, and shown some degree of talent. After all, you're a radio news lady. You fat cunt.

  • Robin is such a bitch

  • oh totally, this and the T.I. interview has made me hate her without qualms and qualifications.

  • What did she say in the T.I. interview? I decided not to listen to the whole thing because it was just a typical rapper who had rough teenager years and everybody has to kiss his ass for that.

  • She was throwing every stereotype about hip-hop stars in his face, like about how they commit felonies to gain street-cred while T.I. was trying to make serious and sincere remarks about his forthcoming jail-time and some of the foolish things he's done and how he wants to be a more responsible person when he comes out. He even called her out each time and she deserved every second of it. She came off like an out-of-touch, middle-aged borderline racist white dude. Embarrasing to say the least.

  • Don't get me wrong, I don't like the lowest common-denominator club anthems that hip-hop has turned into these days, but I've liked T.I.'s music in the past and he came across as a decent (hell, even boringly average) guy. He didn't have an attitude where he was asking for it and so the treatment Robin gave him was just unprofessional.

  • my words.i hate these fucking cocksuckers who sold drugs all their childhood and then they pretend to be the biggest rappers on earth. the likes of 50cent,eminem,t.i.und whoever are a bunch of cocksucking faggots who act like they r the toughest guys on earth when in truth they are little kids who never had the balls to grow the fuck up and be some real men

  • what?

  • This is awesome!

  • thanks
