I'm planning on learning the drums. I have *zero* musical aptitude, however. The only thing I've got is coordination from my Arnis martial art classes. Do you have any tips for a way to begin learning drums? I don't really *do* classes though. Perhaps a cheap amateur drum set that you could recommend?

Sure.. if you want to get a cheap drumset, you can go to the musiciansfriend websit" and find one for a few hundred.. also, buy sticks and just start tapping on tables and anything else.. get used to holding sticks in your hand, there's tons of beginners guides on the internet too.. =) I learned most of my drumming from a teacher name Tommy Igoe, I bought two of his DVD's.. Wow Chris, i always knew you played drums but you surprised me. Nice rolls, great coordination, and sick beats. You look like a drum veteran, you're gonna have to teach me sometimes. I love this video, particularly the dropping the stick and have it bounce back up - very slick!!
