  • He did it to himself...he had his head elevated...if it was flush with the guys side then that wouldn't have happened

  • Exact, the first thing to think about when falling is to protect the head. When it is too late, one should think only about safery.

  • 1:10 for the throw

  • Comment removed

  • Now, thats you break fall.

  • This "guy" died from A.I.D.S. which he contracted this very night on 11/05/08. :/

  • 1:12 for the throw

  • A total lack of respect and sportsmanship.

  • @anjocaramuru

How do you figure? He got the ippon, landed the throw and walked away. When you see the opponent is down you back off and let the docs handle it. What did you want him to do? Hug and kiss him after? You obviously don't compete in any way...otherwise you'd have known that.

  • u dont hadly fucking see it

  • i think that the leg cutter took him on the cock

  • What a bitch. He just fucking walked away.

  • @olamprov

Another dimwit. He walked back to his corner...which is what you're supposed to do.

  • @vankuen Go fuck yourself. I don't do judo so I didn't know.

  • @olamprov Don't assume shit with your ignorance then.

  • @NguyenG3n Hahahahaha you gay little fucking key board warrior. Quit taking out your insecurities on people through the internet because the match was over. He still could have walked over to check if he was okay. The ref announced him the winner and everything.

  • @olamprov You just repeated what you said earlier. Except with slight more profanity.

  • @NguyenG3n You're a fag.

  • @olamprov nice comeback

  • @blazer1321 Haha thanks ^^

  • No I'm not a fag. You're a blowjob though.

  • @NguyenG3n Are you kidding me. LOL good try loser. You're using the word improperly. Kinda shows me that you don't know what you're talking about. Match was over. He didn't need to leave. He could have gone to check on his opponent as any martial artist should. Please stop trolling and go jump off a building.

  • @olamprov Check on what? You act like he's a trained medical professional. Seriously guy, take a chill pill. Don't rant on random people on the internet, chill guy.

  • @olamprov LOL you fucking troll. Ranting on random people? Aren't you the one going around calling people a dimwit? And it doesn't matter if he's a med pro. the fact of the matter remains that he can show respect and care for his opponent afterwards like any proper martial artist should. You have down syndrome. Don't rant on random people on the internet because although you think you're smarter than everyone else, everyone is actually smarter than you.... Chill guy!! ^^

  • @olamprov I didn't call you a dimwit, that was the other guy. You say he should've went to check on him, but what could he do? Nothing. All he could do was stand there and be in the way of the medicals. Have you seen anyone in UFC kneel beside someone they K.O. to check up on them?

  • @NguyenG3n Wow you're dumb, it happens all the time in UFC fights especially... The victor will always run off to celebrate but so many of them return to check up on their opponent. It's basic ettiquete. You don't know shit about mma. And you are such a troll. I hate it when people like you deny saying shit and have no ability to back it up. You're transparent and simple minded and therefore continue to waste peoples' time like this in order to save your lost pride.

  • @olamprov Please send me a video of them doing so and I will admit you're right and I'm wrong.

  • @NguyenG3n I don't need to send you a video you irritating dumbfuck. They're ALL OVER youtube. You must be some kind of social outcast. Seriously? Are you saying stupid shit and denying the fact that you said stupid shit just to get attention? Please don't message me back, you're just too irritating T___T I hate having to explain things to a person too dumb to understand the most simple concepts.

  • @olamprov argue some more. you fucking no friends asswipe.

  • @olamprov you dont even train mma, just watch. sad cunt.

  • @BeatRider44 LOL it's funny how you don't respond now. You tried so hard only to make yourself look stupid and then when asked to back your shit talk up you go into hiding. Run back to mama little boy. Yeah I don't do judo. But I already gave you the address of my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu dojo. Why don't you take my offer to have a match? Give me your info. Please stop running. And stop lying. You don't train. You're so full of anger, and yet you are too scared to do anything about it haha

  • @olamprov wow you type so much. no wonder you cant fucking fight for shit.

  • @olamprov keep talking keyboard fuckwit.

  • @olamprov yeah you dont do any arts fucker

  • @olamprov talk more shit faggot.

  • HE DEFINETLY GOT BURIED

  • He dieded. My dad said so.

  • That guy in white loves to grab and undress his opponent's shirt, which caused the accident. If he stopped acting so gay and enjoyed the ride then this would not have happened. You cannot stop uchi mata if it has been executed already, so don't resist and enjoy the ride. There's a mat anyway.

  • did he died?

  • is that concrete?

  • Dumb mother fucker resisted the inevitable and near killed himself in the process. Tuck your neck and enjoy the ride because when he's that deep(no gay jokes), you can't do anything but accumulate frequent flier miles.

  • The boy got knocked stupid!!!! He walked on the mat retarded and walked off a genius!!

  • lo sembraron

  • Beautiful throw

  • DONT' FUCK WITH JAPS

  • im glad i have a short neck =)

  • Its just a broken neck i have seen worst in Judo injurys

  • the guy is fine look close and you see he is moving a bit

  • owww the way his neck rotated...

    omg.. ><

you never want that happening, as the tori(thrower) or uki (getting thrown)

  • Woooooaaahhh..... oh shit ......

  • Judo mate kawai bosho!!!

  • no the guy was ok in the end

  • I will tell everyone on this board. I have been doing Judo for 16 years now. Still a long way to go in this art. Anyway, the guy in the white gi was not very smart. He clearly knew his body was caught in full swing of what was a very well executed Uchimata. He should have tucked his head, and not have tried so much to resist the inevitable. His lack of not knowing how to do his Ukemi properly was his own curse. Just for those who were looking for light and closure on the subject.

  • @DragonOne1

i'm pretty sure he knows how to do ukemi.

    he just didn't want to.

  • @lppon then he was stupid because it nearly costed him a broken neck

  • @DragonOne1 You were right you have a lot ahead to learn in judo the other guy did a half uchi mata and that's what happened they give him an ippon because the way he elevated his opponent not because was well perform the technique a correct uchi mata you half or completly roll on top your opponent.

  • @jadcorporation. wrong.

  • they have to prohibit that roll over crap when applying a technique, black belts do that roll over crap on purpose to have you fall on the top of your head, there is not need to roll over when applying a technique

  • What is this... continental crown in washington 2008? I remember this tournament.

  • concussion

  • Grove2000 - lol. you really made me smile, i like how you dont understand it..:)

  • but, what hapened later????

  • nothing much the guy got his first aid; nothing major in my knowledge

  • question - isn't drop leg ippon senyonagi illegal ?

  • @wolfyjournalism Only in Taiwan from what I here, though it might be made illegal now that the IJF has effectively stated that they will ban throws not in the "spirit" of judo.

  • @strafefire how do they categorize what throw has judo spirit ! leg take down is part of Judo technique. This is sad ! do u live in Taiwan ?

  • @wolfyjournalism yeah, I got a DQ for doing it. They said it was a new rule USJA.

  • I have to agree with Godsmasher22.

The instance you realize the opponent got the better of you, better let Ukemi (falling technique) do it's work instead of trying to resist at all cost.

In this vid you can see that the white Judoka tries to step/jump over the tori. He should have rather given in to the momentum and he would have made a perfect turn, falling on his side/back like you do in the dojo hundreds of times.

    Still sad.

  • Dropping opponent on his head =/= best Uchi Mata ever

  • @XVIIITheMoonXVIII it was not the techniques fault that he fell on his head rather the victims own attempt at not getting taken down by it

  • @trooperdz Not saying it's the Tori's fault, I was just replying to the guy who said this is the best Uchi Mata ever. The fact that the Uki fell on his neck makes it not such a beautifully executed move, even though it could be the Uki's fault

  • best uchimata ever !! :D

  • The guy in the blue gi should have been disqualified twqice in that match. Firstly for dropping the guy on his head-he was NOT in control of the throw, it was a dangerous technique! And then secondly for failing to show proper etiquetee towards his opponent. He didnt even make sure he was alright.

  • Wow way to show some concern for your opponent's health after the match.

  • Blue gi isnt a doctor. You dont know if that guy went & puked cus he did that. Stand back & let the people in charge handle it. Was he supposed to give him a kiss on his booboo. I would have done the same. No one knows how bad he's hurt. What about the ref who walks away. He must have not cared either huh. The 3 other matches that continued, they did'nt care either. Bastards.

  • @BRENTHEGENT it's a decision of the major shimpan...

  • @BRENTHEGENT

This is Judo, not the boy scouts. We do not stop other matches in progress just because an injury took place. We finish them to the end. Then check out the guy who is in trouble. That is why we have professional medics come in for tournament. It is for this very purpose.

Judo is an art that requires one's focus. And actually the guy in the white gi is at fault for not properly taking ukemi and tucking his head so his neck would not break. Look at the vid really well then judge.

  • you watch the vid to the very end hoping that the guy moves or sth.... but damn... :/

    good he's ok :)

  • Judo is certainly dangerous at competitions because people do a lot of stupid things to stop the throw. Posting weirdly on their heads for instance. I'm honestly surprised there are not more cervical spine injuries in competition judo.

  • I totaly agree.. and I think the rules should be more strict there.. that would result in more ippons and more offensive judo and more importantly- make it safer.

  • his neck seemed to have landed rather awkwardly and most probably he had the wind knocked outta him.

  • Wow, it was a nice uchimata, hope this guys is doing oks it looked pretty bad :S

  • NICE UCHI MATA !

  • the guy is ok

  • Why was he lying in there for so long? Did he have permanent damage?

  • The throw ws beautiful! Hope the other guy is OK...

  • GOOD NIGTH

  • nicely executed

  • most injuries I've seen have been by uchimata's, this one looks bad

  • I know man Judo is dangerous...it's a love hate relationship

  • shit! and it was such a beautiful throw...

  • Is that guy ok? Looks like he fell on his head and twisted his neck!!! Hope he's fine.

  • @yussefumaketse WELL this is why you learn how to fall first and then you learn how to hurt a guy.

  • sweet
