Spinach is loaded with Amygdalin, as are collards & mustard greens, bamboo & brown rice. If sugar cyanide were toxic the deaths at salad bars would necessitate the need to increase the nation's number of ambulances by a thousand-fold. All rent-a-drunk studies are skewed. Cancer is unknown to wild animals that have access to ample amounts of their native foods. All animals, including carnivores, instinctively consume raw greens & seeds.
A great movie, but hardly something which should be used as teaching material. Lazy "teachers". A great example of why our education system is rapidly falling to the bottom of the heap. Science should be taught in a science class and this has nothing to do with social studies. This is just as bad as the idiots who show Michael Moore's garbage (and the Al Gore classic distortion) in schools.
@pyricon It has EVERYTHING to do with environmental issues (clear cutting, balance of the ecosystem, man's dependence on plants). No, I would not show the entire movie but to BLANKET every teacher as lazy because we use multi-media to help our students make connections - that's wrong also.
Well, I watched this is science class... the plot sucks, the acting is too casual, and the camera angles were somewhat repetitive. I do however think that this is a great movie to teach kids with about diseases and ways that scientists test to cure them.
