Just read some of the comments and people are confusing this for the ending where he goes blind and thinks the zone is gone, but it's still there. No, that is a different ending. If you refuse to go to the Wish Granter and visit your stash in Pripyat, then you can get into a room and talk to the representative of C-Conciousness, a group of scientists who made the zone by accident. This is the ending when you refuse to join them and destroy their project.

Ought to be another great ending available.

First off, a mod that lets you open that "give medkit to dying guy"-conversation with hostiles. You give them medkits, they´ll thank you and join the faction you´re a member of. SLowly but surely you turn all the hostile freaks into decent ombres.

You convert enough, this other ending will show you outside-influential soldiers, loners and former gangsters peacefully moving out through the checkpoint, escaping the zone for a new life!

it depends how you play the game - if you have a lot of money for example you will get the ending with the Gold Rain

yeah xD. i was playing alone at night and suddenly this monster pops up. i think its called a bloodsucker, looks like a mutated human with tentacles around its mouth, and they can make themselves invisible, so i never know when im going to meet one.

is it me or does sum1 in the BG says "strelok" at 0:54?? also, i hope there would be a sequel to this game :), just imagine, in the sequel... the whole world is doomed (yeah, something, like asteroid, or nuclear war or something) and to kinda be a post-apocalyptic game and, best part... you can explore the WHOLE world, travel everywhere, and and... a lot more! but could x-ray engine support all of that (it would like need... the 100.0 version of the engine (ok i am dreaming too much!))??

C-Consciousness was the thing that created the zone by creating a "crack" in what according to wikipedia was called "Noosphere" or something like that, without C-Consciousness the "Crack" shut, and the zone dissapeared. That's my theory dunno if it's right or wrong

i didnt meet with the guide guy and i have found corpse of ghost afterwards and is there a way of getting the good ending of the game after that point.

You need to proceed with the Strelok plotline.

The latest you can do something about it is in Prypjat'.

Talk to the mole, he will tell you location of Strelok hideout in Agroprom. Go there.

Once you find about Ghost, you will need to find Guide at Cordon.

That done, go back to Strelok hideout in Agroprom and you will meet Doctor there.

After that, go to Hotel room in Prypjat' and get decoder and documents.

you will get another ending movie if you dont meet with the guide, then you will find the wishmaker and make a wish too get rich but then you die and the game is over.

Actually, there are several (I think 5) Monolith-meeting endings. The "rich" one is triggered by having 50000 roubles (which, chances are, one has) and it takes precedence over others. If you don't have 50000, there are 4 other endings possible, each triggered by a different thing.

When you refuse to join them, you continue playing. You have to make your way through each area by teleporting using the white things(teleports):P AFter about half an hour of teleporting (or depending on how u play) you get this ending...
