325cc, single cylinder diesel engine. I never understood why he needed to kick it 5 times. It has a compression release lever. Maybe he isn't heavy enough to kick it over on the first try...
@trailerparks Lombardini Greaves make and model. Was originally used to pump water in agricultural irrigation until a guy bolted one to a Royal Enfield. Quite a ride, especially with the owner sitting behind you...
@trailerparks Dear Friend, this is the Royal Enfield Diesel Bike not petrol one. Petrol engine can be started by just one kick using the decompression but, in diesel, the kick should have maximum power to rotate the crank. That's why he kicked it 5 times without applying the throttle. Thus the crank starts to rotate and on the power kick, it starts...... ck
Holy shit, this is an industrial diesel that makes 6.5 HP!? LOL, that's great. Only mass-produced diesel bike ever, or so Wikipedia says. There are some other pretty cool ones too.
Maybe it just stores the energy you put into it kicking it over, and that's why it gets 160MPG! LOL No, I doubt it has a energy-accumulator. To heavy and complex. He just realized it was alllllmost there, and put his back into it. What kind of engine does this little beastie have? How many cylinders, etc? I remember this cool little fat-tired mini-bike/ATV thing I saw once, with a 1-cylinder 4-stroke diesel. 120MPG offroad. Cool concept anyway.

@trailerparks
you do on a petrol enfield to ensure a fresh mixture in the chamber, and to pump some oil around..Maybe thats why he does it on the diesel too...

May be there is some starting system thats accumulate enough energy of your kick before start engine. He kicked five times before sixths the biggest.
