@kathy92404 Josephus is not taken seriously by biblical scholars because 1) his writings are in the tone and style of a christian monk writing centuries later, and 2) even the dates of his life don't line up up when Jesus was alive despite his claims that he was around. It's recognized as fraudulent work.

@praiznhim There's 0 evidence outside of the bible that Jesus ever existed. That is why we can say the evidence shows that this character from the stories in the bible is fictional. To feel offense shows that you feel that people shouldn't speak out against your religion or belief system. This is what is happening with Islam (to a greater extreme of course) with the Danish comics that mocked their prophet Mohamed. The artists point with his comic wasn't to be mean, but was to bring light to the fact that this religious group is trying to overthrow the right to free speech.

@JarheadPatriot0311 Using one book to judge whether that very same book is factual or not is extremely bad logic and reasoning. Saying it is unlikely that these events occurred has absolutely nothing to do with "new age deception and lies" NOR does it have anything to do with an unbelieving world. Dogmatism is narrow mindedness and keeps you from looking at things objectively. Faith is not a virtue in the case of blindly following an idea just to fit in with "the crowd", even a religious crowd.

Jesus never existed just like most of the bible stories never occurred, there is no evidence for them. Either the evidence exists or it doesn't and like I said one doesn't need to read the book itself when determining if something is valid or not. Fractal exists in all things as a pattern of growth, if anything when there's a pattern it could indicate that things are very simple by design and that Nature evolved these things to work this way as an underlying code. It's your choice to interpret any pattern as being ascribed to the work of some god. Show some evidence for the authenticity of the bible stories being real and I'm 100% open to considering it's validity :)

Its often souped in with close combat schools that add in Krav Maga and kajukenbo, so the energetic principles aren't taught. The first school I started at in Chicago was the reason I became interested in Qi Gong.

He also said that after the flood something happened to us, but biologically we're capable of living a lot longer.

@adrianwaj Interesting, I've heard similar things before but have seen little actual evidence for this. In terms of it being possible to live that long I do see it as possible as everything that declines in the body can now be mapped out and is theoretically reversible through a variety of means. With things like nanotechnology and organ transplants with organs grown with your own stem cells we're going to see rapid increases in longevity IMO.
