I'm sorry to be negative at such a beautiful Dad's love song, the first couple of minutes are fabulous, but then you start doing the 'better than anyone'' and it's so ugly and competitive. Why can't Jessica do it well without measuring it to how other people are doing it and trying to beat them?

Adam Cole is the biggest beast I've ever known. We were briefly at Stanford together, and he sang in my a cappella group, Fleet Street, a year or two before I did. I remember sitting in my dorm lounge when he came waltzing in holding a wreath of flowers. I thought it was just some tacky plastic wreath. Turns out it was made of real flowers, and he'd woven it himself. I'm pretty sure Adam Cole really can do anything good. Watch out, Chuck Norris.

Although this is speculation, I think Mr. Cadamole's description is a combo of self deprecating humor and modesty. I cannot sing or play an instrument. If I had the musical talent of Mr. Cadamole, I would not be modest or self deprecating. BTW I love how the song ends with the line "I can be a shark" By moving that bit to the end, it is quirky/ironic/humorous w/o detracting from the song. Kudos to Mr. Cadamole and Ms. Jessica for being rays of sunshine in a sometimes dark world.

I do agree with @dmchatster. I am not confused by the song at all. I AM confused by the description and the prediction that I will be confused by the song. I LOVE the song. In fact, I have listened to it so much and so many times now that I hear it spontaneously in my head sometimes and I often feel very good afterwards! : ) :) :)
