@xSANTACRUZx831 explosives don't work like that, its not just hot air its a huge blast. Did you see how the rust came off the car and the metal bent? Those bomb suits protect against heat and impact but they cant save you if you're too close to an explosion like that. Huge amounts of energy traveled around and inside the suit and when it dispersed the force probably broke his back. It's no joke...
