Hi Betty. I love your recepies and this sounds great! Need to make something like this for when I am working. I'm a teacher and by 3 I am dragging. Just be careful Craklin Oat Brain has palm oil in the ingredients. I know this is one of the least desired fats. You or your viewers may want to try Barbara's Puffin cereal. I by them in supermarkets in the NYC area. These do not have the undesirable fats in them. Enjoying your channel as always! Thanks....Justin

Hi Betty, Those are the same type of nuts I buy at Ralph's Grocer Store. I've never seen anyone else have them. I like them because I feel that there not too expensive and you get a bunch. I love to buy the Pecans. I have this salad I eat all the time. I call it my Pecan Salad. I used lettuce, pecans, tiny torilla strips, some crutons& red onion slices.I then use Ken's Steak House Fat Free Raspberry Pecan dressing. SOOO Yummy!! Has a great crunch. Now my daughter eats it all the time too. Yum yum
@bettyskitchen Oh it's sooo good Betty. If you can find "Ken's Steak House Fat Free Raspberry Pecan dressing, make that salad for you and your hubby. It's soooo good. I eat it all the time. I can't get enough of that salad. Gotta have those Pecans in the salad tho. Yummmm Yummmm. If I ate out and I knew my salad that I make was going to be made just the way I make it, I'd pay probably up to $15.00 for that salad. Very, very good! Hope you make it ; )))
@XxXslothfulXxX You may leave out the raisins and replace with more dried cranberries or something else you like, maybe dates, dried banana slices, dried pineapple--any or all!
Is there a difference between English walnuts and Californian walnuts? because all walnuts available in our supermarkets are titled "Californian walnuts"
@nilaya87 English walnuts and California walnuts are the same. However, there is a walnut called California black walnut that is stronger in flavor than the other walnut. California walnuts are fine for this mix.
As Betty said, this is fine if you're expending a lot of calories whichever day you're gonna be eating this. Likewise, kids burn off a lot (or they SHOULD) throughout the day, so a little 250 cal. serving won't kill them.
What a wonderful mix! Even tho the nuts have oils and fats they are healthy ones. This is a great alternative to chips and snacks with empty calories!! Thanks for the idea.
energizing trail mix, eh betty, plan on hiking or something to burn of all those calories from your fried chicken and enchiladas. lol just kidding, i love your vids
humm that is a good idea. actually i may do that in a nice box as holiday gifts for my neighbors. or maybe find some cute holiday tins. i would like to put cashews in mine. Do you think the nuts with sea salt are much better for your instead of regualr salt?
this is all good stuff!
