@vampirelovemenot Don't feel alone. Last month I broke my leg falling while figure skating.. Although I don't hate skating, I can't do it for about a year longer.

I had about 3 years of roller skating and two years of ice skating and finally injured myself. It is very scary getting hurt bad, but it will heal.. Good luck!

While I was watching long track speed skating yesterday I wondered why they didn't wear helmets. Now I'm wondering why figure skaters don't wear helmets! Some real head crunchers in this video.

Think about it though. If figure skaters wore helmets and standardized uniforms (like gymnasts do), all the judges would see is the skater's performance. That might silence people who say figure skating is not a sport. (Do we all agree that costume design is not a sport?)
