  • where did you get your control panel art?

  • Hi, im a little confused with your led setup. I have fitted led push buttons on my mame arcade but wont light up. I have daisy chained the ground wire as per your invaluable tutorials and connected switches to my 2 player Ipac ps/2. the buttons dont light up. What am i doing wrong? is there another wire required other than the ground and nc points to be connected onto the micro switches.... Help!!!!!, thanks in advance again

  • @breakdancer1967 The LED button that you purchased should have an LED inside. If not, you'll need to purchase one. That LED gets hooked up separately to a +5v power source. So when you're done you will see 4 wires going to the button. 2 to the ipac (1 ground to the daisy chain and 1 to the input) and then 2 to the power supply. (1 to the black ground wire on the power supply and the 1 to the red +5 v wire on the power supply). Make sense? What brand of LED button do you have?

  • I must admit you really went all out on this, if I were making this I would do about half of the wiring for simplicity 2 controllers 3 buttons nothing special. Good idea tho this video gives me some ideas and you built it a lot like a Jamma which helps.

  • what about the minus 5 volts

  • There is no -5v on a PC power supply. If you want -5v you'll have to purchase a 15v switchable arcade power supply. They go for about $20. But that's only if you want to use a PCB in your arcade machine. This tutorial is for a MAME PC arcade machine.

  • I gonna build a mame cab just wondering if the thing will light up with a -5v not added so thanks

  • @TheNews1990 Yes, -5v is not required for a MAME cab. :-)

  • @delusional2971 i just bought a molex adapter and its gonna come in the mail from ebay soon as long as my money order gets there in time

  • Delusional, excellent as always, you have helped me a ton, your simple walk throughs make building my own cab a lot less intimidating for sure, keep up the good work!

  • That's my goal. :-) When I started I was quite intimidated myself, but then when I actually jumped into it, I realized that it wasn't so bad at all. Enjoy!
