  • damn, this game deserves more attention. it really is one of the best games ever made. so freaking good.

always loved the music, especially when starting up the game.

  • Fuck those CoD fags, THIS is a good game.

  • Headbanging starts at 0:03

  • Reason why this game was so good... was because it was so orignal and simple.

I love the prime series, best Nintendo Trilogy.

    Retro Studios ftw!

  • Also, I got the trilogy for like 30 bucks from Amazon when they were trying to clear out their inventory. :-p

  • The wii controls on the original prime are pretty awesome. Tiring, but awesome.

  • This game is only 4 bucks at Gamestop. Go get it people!!!

  • @halo2redvsblue Was it used or not? Because i've heard and seen that even if a copy is USED, it can still cost $70.00. I got my copy for $38.00 with the manual and artwork, but it was pretty much in mint condition.

  • @electricmastro you taking about the Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Wii or Metroid Prime on GCN? I was talking about Prime on the GCN.

  • @halo2redvsblue Yeah, I was talking about the trilogy edition, sorry for the confusion.

  • @electricmastro I... got a copy the other day at Gamestop for about $4.

  • This is a fuking great game. You feel the atmosphere....

  • does anyone know if the metroid trilogy is on the virtual console or do you need to buy this at a local store like Gamestop?

  • @roamer45 You have to buy it at the store. But good luck getting the trilogy version, they stopped selling it.

  • I prefer the other Tallon song, you know the first one. Still like this one though.

  • This was such a good game...I liked the other 2 but the first is definately the best. How bout a Wii U Metroid game at launch....

  • i love this game! after years of not playing it i borrow a friends gamecube an found the game again for like 5 bucks at bookmans. that week i had no social life :) all the music is great.

  • Must...buy...Trilogy...NOW!

  • approved by pablo, this song is

  • This game had a certain feel to it that NO other game has ever had. Total immersion. It wasn't a few corridors and maybe an open room, it was a planet. It was inhabited, it had colour, it had life. The music fit the overall tone of the areas, being ominous without being dark and depressing. Did Gears of War have this same quality? Heck no. Halo? Please. The Prime series is, well... prime.

  • @HARVESTERFTW Well said sir, well said.

  • @HARVESTERFTW Nope. Because this is a japanese game :)

  • @WaterCrystalline It is not only a japanese game, it is also an american game and an European game aka PAL

  • @primeoj1 What i meant was that it was developed by a Japanese developer.

  • @WaterCrystalline But Metroid Prime was developed by Retro Studios.

  • @SeanSimX Under the supervision of Yoshio Sakamoto, the game's original creator. The birth of this amazing title took place in Japan, nonetheless.

  • @WaterCrystalline You could argue they are Japanese given Nintendo certainly supervised, but they are definitely Retro Studios' games. And thusly it was an American developer, but a Japanese publisher.

  • @cthomas025 My point still stands. The franchise was created by Nintendo, wich is Japanese. And all of it's titles have had supervision or involvement of Japanese game designers. Retro studios recieved the guidelines. That's it. They had a source from where to draw inspiration, if not completely copy the already established Metroid Games. Not saying they suck as a developer. All i'm saying is that no Western developer will ever have the same skill as a Japanese one. And that shows.

  • @WaterCrystalline Are you trolling???? Half these failing Japanese Developers (Capcom etc) are practically going under due to lack of new talent and desperately looking to suckle the IMMENSE tit that is the current talent of Western studios.... right now Western devs >> Japanese period.

  • @xSayPleasex Whatever helps you sleep at night.

  • @WaterCrystalline Indeed.

  • @xSayPleasex Capcom is a bad example, Nintendo still make by far better games than any Western developer could ever even imagine to create. In my personal opinion anyway. Metroid is probably the best game from a Western developer, and it's the only first person shooter I've extremely enjoyed, which just goes to show how good it is.

  • @WaterCrystalline Not to mention Shigeru Miyamoto himself is the one responsible for this game being in first-person instead of in third-person.

  • @HARVESTERFTW Each game has their own way to immerse people. Halo, gears, and this have totally different ways of immersion. Halo relied a bit on the area around you, and the battles. Gear relied on graphics and action to immerse you. This relied on the history, areas, and the music to immerse you. While I'm not really defending Halo or Gear, what i really mean is all game, be them the same genre have different ways to immerse it's audience.

  • @Feulingnightmare (Continuing off) Personally, this game will always shine as one of the best GameCube games i had pleasure to play.

  • @HARVESTERFTW Gears had great quality there is no reason to hate on it.

  • This was great game.

  • You should add this to your list

    watch?v=LudFV61zsaw

  • Awesome song. The music in this game made you feel like every kill was with style.

  • Amazing videogame, with amazing soundtrack, amazing graphics, amazing atmosphere.....everytime i play this game i feel....lonely,it's almost scary, such is the level of immersion this game has

  • when i first beat this game i was amazed ...

the entire world of tallon is a piece of art un riveled in scale in detail everything had its place and everything had its purpose .... ok i lie can someone please tell me how to get into the room behind that large tree :P

  • My fav song from this game is the Underwater Frigate

  • I was wondering which Tallon Overworld theme you'd use for this one, since they're both very memorable. The first one was more relaxing but this one is more atmospheric.

I got the Trilogy for $65 on eBay, which is a bargain when you consider that it usually goes for $75-$80 at the least. Money well spent, IMO.

  • OMG this song is awesome and chozo ruins too!

  • This is Tallon Overworld 2 actually not tallon overworld

  • @nintendofan133 Correct.

  • @nintendofan133 thanks man, that was bugging me :P

  • Metroid Prime 1 definitely had the best and most memorable music out of the trilogy. Great selection.

  • Feminsists love this game. LOL Just Kiddinng everyone "Should" love this game or they will be eliminated >=D

  • If only this game had a waypoint feature like Dead Space, I wouldn't have gotten stuck so many times and actually finished it. =(

  • @stuwee3 I think that would ruin the experience. Metroid was always about exploring and trying to find your way through on your own.

  • I love the Metroid Prime soundtrack. What i find to be stupid is when you heard of people giving reviews saying "low-quality midi's". Um, you serious? Regardless, the music is awesome. If you can't appreciate music like this, regardless if you think it's "low-quality" you gotta get your ears examined. Awesome song pick. This one has been my favorite for a long time. :)

  • At first, I hated Metroid Prime due to the controls. Luckily the Metroid Prime Trilogy fixed that for me.

  • Hearing this tune for the first time blew my mind. Metroid prime was a dream come true. I am a huge fan of super metroid and this title made the 8 year wait well worth it. I just wish I had the Original NTSC version in the trilogy, the PAL version ruined the chozo lore for me. Some company unaffiliated with nintendo re-wrote all the lore to sound better but it sucks compared to the original imho.

  • I love the techno-ey whistle effects

  • Please ignore my 2 other comments, I accidently posted them before I was finished. So what I wanted to say is that the whole soundtrack from Metroid Prime is really awesome and I am glad this made it on the list.

  • Didnt his track change half way through the game? either way, it was still one of the best games ever. it will probably be in my top 10 games for a while to come, man i love gaming.

  • ah, about time this one came up SupraDarky, probably the best soundtrack in MP, gj

  • The planet of Tallon IV will always be the most memorable location in Metroid history, comparing even to the likes of Zebes. Metroid Prime, arguably the greatest Metroid period. Super Metroid being the only comparable game in the series.

  • I'm curious as to if/when you'll ever get around to Gandrayda's theme in Prime 3 ;)

  • I just love this game entirely....the songs are awesome, it fits perfectly with the game atmosphere.

  • I'd have to agree, there's nothing out there that really has the feel of the Prime series, it stands alone all majestic-like

  • You have amazing taste in music.

  • great pick again supradarky

    LONG LIVE METROID!

  • I like this theme. The soundtrack is my favorite of the trilogy. As for Metroid Prime, it's one of my all time favorites.

  • I was listening to this song just as I saw that you had uploaded it.

    You win this round.

  • 1:12 - 1:48 My favorite part

  • Metroid Prime my favorite Gamecube game.

  • LOVED the music in this game...

This channel doesn't let me down.

  • Prime was fantastic and took Metroid in a direction that I really found compelling, I couldn't stop playing.

  • This music is looping again and again in my ears. What an eargasm !

  • Great themes from this game and throughout the series of Metriod. What was the one when you first got to step off Samus' ship on the overworld in this game? I really like that one!

  • @tomcatm16 I'm not sure of it's official name, but I do know it was a slowed down remix of the original Brinstar music sang by a chorus. It was pretty awesome, if I do say so myself.

  • if i could thumbs up a 1000 times i will ...;P

  • I'm not a great fan of the first theme that plays in here, but this song brings back so many memories. I want to play now!

    Damn, philosophy homework!

  • You will upload Lower Norfair theme from Super Metroid eh? Since technically, Lava Caves is a remix of it.

  • It's kinda catchy. :P

  • Favourite overworld theme. Gotta replay this game but way too busy now a day.

  • is it just me or dose this remind you of paper mario

  • sometimes i wonder if i play this game just for the music

  • Again, another awsome music choise :-)

  • The best!

  • I thought this game had the most memorable songs in the trilogy when it comes to overworld themes, with music like this one, Phendrana (both versions), the Chozo Ruins, the Lava caves, etc.

I really regret not buying the MP trilogy on the Wii when it came out, now I can't find it at a normal price.

  • @SupraDarky How come you did not buy the Trilogy!? It is well worth the slightly boosted price I would have to say. Just how much nostalgia and bonus content they added to the games is intense. Def worth it dude :)

Good music too Supra! The Prime series has always had a very unique feel to it that I love haha

  • @beastman93FZero What bonus content? Google fails me.

  • @f1rz3nz3r0 The OSTs of all 3 games, dioramas, in-game content (like alternate suits and such), and the addition of achievements from Prime 3 to the first 2 games. Plus some other stuff I can't remember.

  • @SupraDarky I love MP1, played through 3/4ths of MP2 but got stuck and kind of forgot about it (not as good as MP1 I must admit). Never played MP3, cause I don't own a Wii (although I'd like too), and if I did own I Wii I probably would of gotten the MP Trilogy, heheh.

But on the point of the music, yeah I have always thought that MP1's music was extremely well done and memorable. I loved the use of electronic sounds along with somewhat organic sounds.

  • I own all 3 games but I don't regret, that I bought the Trillogy :D

The german Amazon sells the Trillogy now for only 40€ and in the USA it costs 90$!

I think a game like this deserves such a high price^^

  • @SupraDarky i bought MP trilogy at best buy about 6 months ago for the normal price. they had lots in stock at my towns best buy, even at a point where all the reviews i watched before i made the purchase said that it was impossible to find anymore. maybe thats cause not many in my town like wii so they had extra. or maybe im just lucky. xD but yea its totally worth whatever price. i love it so much. ive beaten mp1, and am still beating mp2 and 3.

  • @SupraDarky Keep an eye out; I was able to score it for $30 on Amazon. It's not impossible! :)

  • @MaverickHunterAsh I got it for £5 off ebay, not a scratch!

    (That's $7.99)

  • @MaverickHunterAsh You probably just jinxed it and now it is impossible. >_>

  • @SupraDarky Dude, I hear ya. I put it off when it first came out since it looked like a cash in on the series. Once it became rarer and a collector's item, I wanted to get my hands on it, but by then it was too late. Luckily, though, I recently found the last one at a local FYE =P

  • @SupraDarky Me neither :(

  • @SupraDarky thats cuz the metroid series is badass

  • @SupraDarky I managed to grab it for £24 on ebay the other day. I'm so happy :)

  • @jacksprat1990 How much does that cost in America? :P
