Visit Brazil; I went there in January for a month to stay with my new family - what a beautiful country and the people are very,very friendly. Brazil deserves NONE of the bad press it gets in the west, safe as any western country I've visited and is only going to get better and better with time. I will be leaving the UK for Brazil as soon as possible.

This song is in Elis Regina's album from 1973, who title is Elis. i think is possible to buy the album in a good music store or on internet. in that video the players are: Cesar Camargo Mariano (piano), Paulinho Braga (drums) and Luizão Maia (bass). In the album are too: Toninho Horta (guitar) and Chico Batera (percussion). The music is from the brazilian composer Pedro Caetano. Everybody who participate of this record are GREAT!

@ehanbameh1 There is no CD or LP with this version, but there is the high quality DVD from TRAMA, so you can rip the audio with a good set up, in order to create a high quality CD copy, or something like that...

I had a rare jazz album made in Brazil from what must have been 1964 and it was common to hear music of this style if you went out for the night in Rio de Janeiro and went to an inexpensive "hole in the wall" bar. Later on the more commercially successful "bossa nova" mix of Jobim and Wanderley appear to eclipse this more "jagged" jazz style of bossa-nova. You can hear traces of it in Sergio Mendes' piano playing. It would almost be a worth a trip to Brazil itself to dig up these "lost tapes".

These early MPB broadcasts were amazing. The music existed to the side of the more commercially successful Bossa Nova and have a more pure jazz feel to them. We don't have anything like this today.
