Nothing beats dehydrated kale chips with a great sauce and this recipe is no exception:-) For anyone who may be concerned, soaking cashews "activates" them, and raw greens and nuts are actually fine as a food combination. Replacing cashews with sunflower seeds for a "cheese" sauce works really well too .Ultimately, the best combos are the ones that work for each person individually. I swear if we all believed everything we ever read about food we'd hardly eat anything.
I didn't see this recipe for kale chips on your website, i did see the salad not this one, I like this recipe i want to make it, i need the exact measurements. Also your blender what is the name brand of it ? I'm new into the rawlife world trying to get as many simple recipes as i can. apreciate it , thank you.for your videos.

I make kale chips but I refuse to follow the masses and use cashews that are not actually raw. Also, combining nuts with kale is poor food combining. While I'm not a NH'er I do try to observe the basic rules of food combining. That said, why would you follow the masses and share a recipe that all the other unhealthy raw foodists are making?
I've had my dehydrator now just a few weeks and don't know how I ever managed without it. I'm eating really healthy now -- I'm crazy about kale chips!
To dehydrate two big bunches of kale, I use 3 trays in the Excalibur dehydrator with just the netting. I just made two bunches (3 trays) and put 3 large red bell peppers, 1/4 tsp black pepper, 1/4 tsp cheyenne pepper, 1/2 cup olive oil, 1 tsp Himalayan pink salt, 1 whole avocado, and 5 cloves of garlic into the Vitamix. I poured from the Vitamix evenly onto 3 huge mixing bowls of bite-sized kale. Dehydrate for at least 12 hours at 110 degrees Fahrenheit.
Hi Natasha, I want to do the 10day juice fast with you not only for a detox but for spiritua'l reasons, however I am very worried that I will lose too much weight!! Or muscle.. Right now I'm 5'5 and 120llbs and I think if i did nothing but juice for 10 days i would look sick! Please tell me what you think.

I really enjoy seeing your videos. The energy you have is always great.
If I lost 14 pounds on a juice fast I would be super thin. Really want to do the April one so I will just sign up. No more procrastinating plus I love juicing.
I would like to join the juice fast but I won't sign up .. you said there is limited space and I'm currently on a juice fast but thought of just joining and supporting you .. .but just know I'm supporting you and would love to know how it goes!
i thought cashews didn't have to be soaked? i read somewhere that they shouldn't be soaked for more than 20 minutes because they get slimy and change color. so it that true, and if so, soak just for this recipe?
@MyRawRenaissance They need to be soaked for the recipe-- in order to get the creamy texture, plus its much easier to blend with a regular blender if it is soaked.
@Avrilxxxmac Get Nutritional Yeast and not Baker's Yeast. You can usually buy it at any health food store. If you can't find it, you can make it without it!!!! Fantastic Avril with all the progress & lovin' the green juices:) Amazing how something so simple can do so much!!!
Did you use raw cashews or does it matter?

Dino kale works best for kale chips as the leaves are more hearty and, imo, tastier.

Damn this lady talks way too much. The video only needs to be the recipe and not 3 minutes of rambling on either side of the recipe.

What about dinosaur kale (the black-green flat-leaf variety)? I am just not feeling the curly version. It's uber tough.

great! Will be making Kale chips for some overseas military people to eat.

@LisaPurpleSage that is a really thoughtful awesome idea.
it would be great if more people did this and sent stuff off to our soldiers.
even better if the government would get on board. I understand military food is pretty knarley.

Is nutritional yeast raw?
poppingbubblewrap 1 year ago
@poppingbubblewrap : Nope. But like Braggs, it's one of those things that raw fooders sometimes use that isn't raw.

Can these be done in the oven...I don't have a dehydrator yet - unfortunately!
