  • @kepone405 hahahaha ok dude... i fucking love heavy metal and death metal and all that... but the kids right... this is fucking shit. don't try and justify people playing instruments stupidly fast, shit and over distorted as 'good'. this music requires no fucking skill. anyone with attention deficit disorder can play this type of music and anyone with a deep voice can growl stupidly... ur just trying to be different

  • @YesImADickhead Anyone can do anything cock tard. Art is all about expression, and any human on earth can chose to express themselves with anything. So you saying that anyone can play instruments fast and requires no skill, is the same as saying that that Kandinsky's paintings require no skill because they aren't done in the traditional classical style. So Mr.dickhead,I ask you to crawl back up your own ass,and come out when you're done being a closed minded poser, cuz you dont know shit bout fuck

  • "we'll never be molodic" ...lulz!

  • @MustardLung :D

  • @MustardLung :D

  • @MustardLung Awesome!

  • beautiful

  • used to watch snub tv all the time, couldn't beleive the ENT clip, creased up in laughter at ND "the kill", liked "scum" and then went out and bought the LP. I recorded this clip on VHS in '89 and kept it for years, I would bring it out at parties for a laugh, then like everyone else through it away for DVD's.

I couldn't beleive my luck in finding it on you tube, I can now scare my kids too

  • que lixo!!

  • damn i remember when this was broadcast, now i feel fucken old!

  • awsome days off my youth listening to this guys :)

  • se la rifan los extreme noise terror y los napalm death

  • Thrash not hash.Wheat not meat.Gore not war. What a load of steaming shite.

  • killer GISM shirt

  • THE ONE WITH BLOND SHORT HAIR LOOKS LIKE GERARD WAY.

  • Jeff Walker 3:21

  • any Death, Grindcore, that mentions SWANS as an influence is all right in my book.

  • holy crap its bill steer

  • This stuff was way different then your typical punk bands the UK had, a vast difference from Vice Squad, The Adicts, The Exploited, Disorder and what not. I wonder what the punks thought of bands like Extreme Noise Terror, Napalm Death, and Carcass back then. Anyone know?

  • @TruemetalandpunkONLY I personally think the Disorder punks prolly kicked it with ENT...

  • @justfukoff88 Yeah, probably.

  • Just on what Bill Steer said about th lyrics. I listened to these 1988 onwards when I was 15-16 and I tuely believe theirs and other grindcore bands lyrics gave me a conscience.

  • this is well jackson, It's just a shame there was no youtube 20 odd years ago

  • grindcoreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • nice....ent/the real naplam death

  • 3:17 isthat jeff walker? next to bill steer

    what's he doing there?

  • @psyosisfied no its Lee Dorian, he was the second vocalist of Napalm Death. went on to form Cathedral after dropping acid in Coventry apparently.

interestingly Dorian took over from Justin Brodrick who went on to form Godflesh and obviously Bill Steer went onto Carcass and now firebird. was some real talent in the UK at that time.

  • Comment removed

  • @psyosisfied shit my mistake, yeah over there in the corner. god knows!

  • I find it funny that the narrator says that "the music is best to be experienced live" then they play the studios tracks. LOL oh well

  • I like how bill steer says "we will never be melodic" And years later he and carcass birthed melodic death metal.

  • but ent are still afraid of anal cunt

  • No, Seth had a stick up his ass and wrote that song becuase they didnt want to tour with AxCx becuase there lyrcs are a joke and go agianst everything ENT stands for.

  • Do you take seriously the lyrics?

  • that's the studio recording.. not even the same lineup that's in the video, hmmmph

  • A few of your dads probably have an erection at the moment.

  • fuck the noise

to podoba mi sie tak samo jak 20 lat temu

    GREAT!

  • jak napalmy zaczynaly to ja sie rodzilem jakos :] pozdro

  • e.n.t&n.d=the best grindcore!!!!!!

  • @TheHedwig42 ent aren´t grindcore at this time...they played crustcore...ent are the prototype of what we call grindcore today..napalm death perfected grind!

  • @TheHedwig42 along with repulsion and terrorizer .

  • people use tapes , i have a parcel of grind noise industrial material for sale , stuff from 80's & 90's-demos/reh/lives , if you interest contact me

  • By tha time they went in the studio to record tha second half of Scum there wasnt one original member left in the band.

I do get a kick out of tha fact that they are showing tha FETO line-up while they play Scum.

  • BILL NICE COCK IN MY DICK

  • my homies

  • STER ME DICK

  • ENT FUCK YEAH!!!

    ...

    ND FUCK YEAH!!!!!

  • HARDCORE???

  • who gives a rats ass what genre it is.. its just music.. you bunch of scenesters..

  • repulsion and napalm death are the fathers of modern grind...the music siege, dropdead etc. played before 1986 isnt grindcore although they were biggest influentors (sorry for incorrect word) and so their music is considered as hardcore punk...

  • nice G.I.S.M. shirt

  • If you asked E.N.T what they play they will answer PUNK.

  • yep they play a subgenre of punk called Crust Punk and gradually evolved into a Deathgrind band .....either way doesnt make a difference Crust Punk is a derivative of Deathgrind and Anarcho Punk , most grinders were hardcore punks back in their heyday

  • crust punk, punk, GRINDCORE stupid fuck

  • crustgrind, what the fuck is crustgrind?? this is HARDCORE

  • crustgrind is a derivative of Grindcore and Crust Punk ..... Hardcore is a very generic term , used by uninitiated novices like you hahah ,

  • No such thing as crustgrind since you're the only person that uses that term. Stop making up words and accept that Napalm Death and ENT are grindcore.

  • I say crustgrind

  • yea grind came out of crust but they aren't the same so u can't really call anything crust grind as its own genre. the two just run very close

  • BULL GRIND DUDE

  • ENT good, napalm bad

  • I think I still have this on video from when it was origianally broadcast on BBC2 in 1989! :-D Hahaha, pity that the recording of Napalm Death doesn't have the same vocalist or bassist or guitarist to those featured in the images! Hah, they've not an original member in the band since 1987, or thereabouts I reckon

  • mick harris was the only original until he left

  • Well I heard that he was actually not the original drummer, but that Stick from Extreme Noise Terror and Doom (and lots of other bands) played drums for a short time when they first got together and Harris came along later. However, I'm not 100% certain so I won't say for sure

  • I believe that Nik Bullen was the only original member of ND until he left in 1987.

  • mick harris wasn't even an original member, Napalm's original drummer ,when they started using that name in '81, was a dude named "Rat". He recorded on the Hatred Surge demo. Mick joined shortly after in '85.

  • around 3:16 - Jeff Walker sitting backstage with his buddies =)

  • jfeuiebf: those three albums that you mentioned were influenced by Corporate music (Sony). This is why they named Enemy ... that way when they were out of the contract! I recommend the read "choosing death the improbable history of death metal & grindcore"

  • Bill looks a bit pissed off here. He usually seems mild mannered.

  • Played with extreme noise on their first ever gig at Ipswich carribean club 87/88,awesome

  • what's the name of the song at 4:20?

  • Scum

  • carcass kicks ass as a melo death band, i cant get enof of all their music

  • ahah at 3:15 there's a glimpse of Jeff Walker grinning^^ (or am I seeing wrong.. )

  • yeah its JEFFF :D

  • ahah I knew it *high fives*

  • its grindcore and brutal death metal

  • Bill Steer - "We'll never be melodic..." Carcass did though. :)

  • well said

  • you you are a stupid

napalm death is grindcore =hardcore punk + deathmetal

  • no

    grindcore was before death metal

say for example that dropdead are death metal? yet that's grindcore!

it's a degeneration of hardcore, death metal got its claws on it later (not that this was bad :P)

  • 16 QUID FOR A HOODED SWEAT TOP..

  • NAPALM DEATH, FUCK OFF

  • death metal started 1983 with possessed

  • that was not my point

and also, it's just a legend, cause possessed made that song called "death metal"

but none is sure that they originated death metal

the band "Death" could be as well, since they formed in 1983

at the time that sound was merely called thrash metal

  • Mantas

  • Its common sense this shit is grindcore, wish has alot of hardcore punk influences.

  • fucking awesome, thanks for the share!

  • no maaaaaa aweboooooooooooooooooo

    chidddoooo!

  • se la pitio D: !

  • 15 -20 years ENT , Napalm Death and Agathocles rocked. I was one of the thousand fans in Poland. Lots of bands...

    Thanks guys.

  • what band does the ent guy have on his shert

  • Its an A. For ANARCHY!

  • It's actually the 'anarchy and violence' GISM shirt :) Weird for Phil to be wearing a shirt like that because ENTs and GISMs lyrical content had their differences. I guess its the music that matters.

  • I'm going to feel like an idiot. But what does GISM stand for again?

  • In the bootleg I have it states 'Guerrilla Incendiary Sabotage Mutineer', but they had various other ones, sort of like MDC and SOB. If I remember correctly another one was 'General Imperialism Social Murder'. There are about 2 or 3 other ones but I can't remember them. GISM was extremely violent both on stage and in lyrics...as opposed to Extreme Noise Terror.

  • Gay In Social Mind. Seriously. I have no clue what that means but 'Detestation' is the shit!

  • great bands great footage. if you don't dig it then clear off.

  • Wow !

  • slayer tormentor... more like fagger fagfagger69

  • carcass has been dead for a long time now, and napalm death shits all over there grave! mwahahaha!

  • You know that Carcass got back together, right?

  • who cares

    heartwork sucks

  • I didn't mention Heartwork; it's my least favorite Carcass album next to Swansong.

  • good.

i think of them more as death metal than grindcore. i couldnt put them in the same basket as napalm death

  • They were a crust band at the time.

  • 'The attractions and energy of hardcore are best sampled live, so heres the album versions'.

  • Haha!

  • fu america

  • Why did they dub the album version over it.

  • This is too slow - these guys are like 70 years old now.

  • The new ent lp fucking kills! They are back to the old sound pretty much!

  • wtf was jeff walker doing with napalm in that interview?

  • I cant belive there`s band in 2008 that label themself as extreme metal when it was done by some punx 22 years ago...a BIG FUCK OFF to the lame jazzy modern death metal drummers

  • Yeah, Steve Flynn is so untalented.

  • Great footage! The late 80's and early 90's were a great time.

  • no offense ENT are kind boring

    ND on though

  • NAPALM DEATH was treated unfairly in this video

They played the album version of scum rather than a live one like they did with ENT.

That's not fair.... Who cares if Lee Dorian sounds like he's saying "Woof Woof Woof" He's a great fucking vocalist!

This partially ruined my day >=(

  • You know some people dont know they treat bands like carcass and napalm death like crap but know people love them

  • actually all the songs they played were album versions, for both ENT and NAPALM DEATH. i've heard lots of shitty live tapes by both bands so for TV it's probably better with the album version dubbed in so you can actually hear the song.

  • Umm...That's almost EXACTLY (Sorry for the caps, If I could italicize, I would) what I said.

Maybe not for extreme noise terror, but for Napalm Death, yes.

I can't tell ENT's live from album stuff mostly because I'm not an avid listener of them.

  • again, the ENT isn't live, it's the version from the "Holocaust In Your Head" lp. regardless, both bands sounded like shit live frequently, at least on video, so the studio versions sound superior for a short vid spot, which i'm sure the producers of this show understood. i can imagine the cries of "sellout" when this came out, but i think the exposure is pretty nice actually.

  • "hard-core" is a typical USA shit!!! ENT are PUNX!!! fuck the USA, fuck hard-core, fuck emo, fuck pop-punk!!!

    (A) IN GRIND WE CRUST (E)

  • back then, this stuff was called hardcore... like HARDCORE punk, before the word hardcore was taken by emos.

  • agreed

  • So right!

  • That's true bro...We should "MUUUUURDAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!" all those fuckin' emos! LOL

  • its not hardcore its grindcore

  • Extreme Noise terror are Hardcore, well they are grindcore as well but they started as a hardcore punk band

  • yeah holocaust in your head is when they became a grindcore band

  • Have you heard 'Phonophobia'? It's wayyy more grind than "A Holocaust In Your Head" in my opinion.

  • well i think that back then news reporters didnt really know about genres. i dont think most of em still do.

  • IMHO E.N.T. are the fathers of crust, see how many Japcore bands imitate them!

  • BILL STEER RULES!

  • LEE DORRIAN IS GOD !!!!!!

  • Heh, I suppose melody is a relative term. I'm not so keen on Napalm Death's later stuff but I suppose they felt that had to move on. Ah well. :)

  • Funny at 3:40 Lee Dorrian says "We are never gonna go melodic..." but now Barney is in charge of the vocals and they play Deathgrind which sounds melodic than Grind ..I only wish that ND would go back to their Crust and real Grind roots.

  • actually, i wouldnt point to ND's newer albums as the culprit. id say the period from after Utopia Banished to Order of the Leech is where ND lost their balls for the most part.

and funny, Bill is in a stoner rock band now. very melodic stuff. oh the irony!

  • he's back in Carcass I think

  • oh i know, but his primary project is Firebird, the stoner band.

  • I don't know 'Utopia Banished' was allright , I think they 'lost the balls' a bit with the 'Words from the exit wound' "diatribes' 'inside the torn apart' but since 'Enemy of the music business' it's nice, and the live shows are fierce

  • i'll take the newer napalm death over the old any time, and this is coming from a long time fan of theirs. much respect to napalm for what they have accomplished over the years. i can't say that for lee dorrian's band. sorry.

  • you're a fucking idiot. Cathedral? Cathedral fucking own your nutsac faggot.
