mick harris wasn't even an original member, Napalm's original drummer ,when they started using that name in '81, was a dude named "Rat". He recorded on the Hatred Surge demo. Mick joined shortly after in '85.
jfeuiebf: those three albums that you mentioned were influenced by Corporate music (Sony). This is why they named Enemy ... that way when they were out of the contract! I recommend the read "choosing death the improbable history of death metal & grindcore"

GISM was extremely violent both on stage and in lyrics...as opposed to Extreme Noise Terror.

actually all the songs they played were album versions, for both ENT and NAPALM DEATH. i've heard lots of shitty live tapes by both bands so for TV it's probably better with the album version dubbed in so you can actually hear the song.
again, the ENT isn't live, it's the version from the "Holocaust In Your Head" lp. regardless, both bands sounded like shit live frequently, at least on video, so the studio versions sound superior for a short vid spot, which i'm sure the producers of this show understood. i can imagine the cries of "sellout" when this came out, but i think the exposure is pretty nice actually.
Funny at 3:40 Lee Dorrian says "We are never gonna go melodic..." but now Barney is in charge of the vocals and they play Deathgrind which sounds melodic than Grind ..I only wish that ND would go back to their Crust and real Grind roots.

Funny at 3:40 Lee Dorrian says "We are never gonna go melodic..." but now Barney is in charge of the vocals and they play Deathgrind which sounds melodic than Grind ..I only wish that ND would go back to their Crust and real Grind roots.

actually, i wouldnt point to ND's newer albums as the culprit. id say the period from after Utopia Banished to Order of the Leech is where ND lost their balls for the most part.
and funny, Bill is in a stoner rock band now. very melodic stuff. oh the irony!

I don't know 'Utopia Banished' was allright , I think they 'lost the balls' a bit with the 'Words from the exit wound' "diatribes' 'inside the torn apart' but since 'Enemy of the music business' it's nice, and the live shows are fierce

i'll take the newer napalm death over the old any time, and this is coming from a long time fan of theirs. much respect to napalm for what they have accomplished over the years. i can't say that for lee dorrian's band. sorry.
