What a magnificent opera. One of the most powerful ever written. Devia and Podles give a lesson in style. Their vocal rendition is spectacular, and their interpretation is subtle and effective. A shame Rockwell Blake and Ramey did not join them in this production...

I just knew you were going to use this particular Semiramide, and I'm glad you did because I've been waiting to see more from this production. They managed to bring together a phenomenal cast. Devia and Poodles are among the best sporano-mezzo pairs around these days. They should sing together more often.

There were a few productions in the early 1990's with Devia and Podles... off the top of my head Comte Ory and Fille from Milan come to mind... I think there was another opera... I can't think of it though.
