Actually this ending is brilliant: you spent probably entire weeks trying to win a game where the main purpose is to actually kill an unnamed enemy whose purpose is unknown, and you expect the game to congratulate you for your massacres?

Is that for just Cannon Fodder or for all games, because it if's for all I wouldn't have time, I honestly have over 5000 games at this present time (From Xbox 360 and PS3 games all the way back to the Spectrum and the Commodore 64) hahaha!

I only ever managed to get the whole game completed with Jools and Jops ONCE but it was freaking hard especially the last level.

i got to the last stages using with no casualities still jools n jops as mains both 4 star generals but was jus too hard to finish

Same for Ubik, CJ and Chris. Those 4 came all after Jools and Jops in the recruits list. So there's a cheat going on here ;)

It's ok I made it out barely alive. If it wasn't for a passing Red Cross jeep, I for sure would have been left in no mans land. :)

I don't recall that end screen though. What version are were you playing? Amiga UK PAL?

the hostage is el presidente. if u get a snes emulator and lose all recruits on purpose, u will see at top of screen "El Presidente wins again." with a picture of him. which is funny lol. And plus it even says You Muse kipnap enemy leader on the last one

Brilliant game..me and my friend spent to whole night to finish this game finally around 8 in the morning mission 24 was complete.

btw, when you're flying the chopper and you have a homing missile on your tail you can aim a missile from your chopper at it and it will destroy it, takes a few goes, saves you having to evade it the entire phase!

Going very slowly and edging though you could destroy turrets and helicopters before they could launch any though :)

Exact same here man. Only I got an emulator and played the sega version on my pc. After I beat the game, all it said was "Congratulations. You have beaten the game." 217 good commandos died just so I could be congratulated on winning the game. LAME. I didn't even GET the screen that said how many guys that died and who got promoted! /wrists

Lol my hat off to you mate, I could never get past mission 20 or something like that - had the game for a good 15 years and never got here.

Did finish CF2 though, so I wasn't totally pathetic ;-) problem was, it had a poor plot and wasn't as good.
