o freddie, god rest your soul. i wuold trade in justin beiber or miley cyrus any day just to have you back. it just sucks that you died before i was born. luv queen, always will <3
For a real treat pull out your Queen album and listen to this song followed by My Fairy King followed by Liar followed by The Night Comes Down. Talk about musical ecstasy! Love QUEEN!!!!
Roger make that tea for two please. Love this version, it surpasses the album version, this just oozes pure raw energy,Really showcases Brian's guitar work!!!
@yooanoozarrmay maybe with a proper remixing (for those that don't understand it: remixing as in mixing it again, not like a dance remix!) it can sound as good as it deserves to be.
What do you think: better than the 'original' version? It has a different sound, I don't know why! I like this one more because of its originality, but I think the original is better... What do you think?
Holy Crow! Haven't heard the Langham Studio sessions before! These are incredible! My favorite era is the first 3 LPs. This is absolutely killing me. You rule, Mr. Fuller.
@johnnyriggsisdead yea the first 3 albums are great.3 albums of great/creative hard/prog/rock material is about average for most very good bands. Then they start lookin` outside the hard/prog/rock 'box' for inspiration. The only band Ive seen really keep creatively consistent in the hard/prog/rock genre for longer than 3lp`s is LedZeppelin who`s 1st 6 albums are amazing. No surprise LedZep and Queen are the greatest hard/prog/rock bands ever(Rush are in there too as prog rock specialists.)
If you're interested, check out my cover of "Bohemian Rhapsody". Of course it can't be close to original, but it's a tribute to my favourite band and male singer! :)
@sickboy3883 yo, i don't know how i wrote that :D, probably i was listening to motorbreath :D. ye, you're right, that was hit the lights :D :D, i was thinking of hit the lights, but wrote motorbreath...heh
Recorded in a studio,as opposed to recording live. Also these recordings are not the same as what was released on record, which were re-mixed and re-processed several times to the degree of perfection that the general public expects.
These recordings are more like 'live' in the studio.
queen is just the best, and theire still is a rather wonderful, i think the concept so dandi came from FREDDIE MERCURY and his magnificent perfect esthetic style
give us shills nad leave us in some kind of ecstasy.
the early yrs was this bands best stuff-after the 3rd album i lost interest- but was a huge fan collected posters t-shirts interview clippings. had a crush on roger big time! wow he takes great pics.
you are so fucking stupid its hard to think about where to start criticising you, there are far older and more potent books than the bible, have you not heard of the ancient greeks or the CHINESE, people were writing absolutely beautiful pieces of literature before some demented old israelite cave trolls started talking to imaginary friends!
well, you got it wrong, mate. Freddie wasn't christian but I know that he visited christian churches from time to time coz he really believed in God. There's also a song called "Jesus" on the same album as this song on. Tho it's a great mystery for me why he wrote such lyrics, there's no doubt he believed in God and Jesus. He just sing this piece of lyrics not like being himself but like being third person or something like that.
Where from you know, that he believed in christian God? Song "Jesus" don't prove anything. And in this song, "Great king rat" Freddie sings: "Don't believe all you read in the Bible..."
I think this time Freddie was wondering: is God exist, and which god. Later he (Freddie) stopped wondering: he was rich, people treated him like he was god and he didn't need any god. Maybe when freddie was ill and dying he started believing in God once again.
I don't think it matters whether you believe or not; you and Freddie, all of us, are children of God--God transcends all faiths. The faith we practice is a matter of an accident of birth and your culture. Freddie (and Queen et al) was a gift to us all--he made and makes us happy listening to his music. Your English is plenty good. Keep up the good work!
and what diffence does the religion of the musician make??? you need not be a Christian to understand the teachings. do some study and forget about criticizing. karma, what goes around comes around even "social" diseases know this one---
I like the old Queen songs. But can anyone explain me, what this song means? English is not my mother language, and I think, I don`t understand the sense of the lyrics. Is it sarcastic ("throw out the good...)? Is there a true story behind (the great king rat)? Or anything else?
