There's times when a low budget horror film can be good (Halloween Ginger Snaps etc) but they really should have given a bigger one for this. I mean that werewolf looks like something you'd see in a high school video project. Not as bad as the ones in that sci-fi original movie War Wolves, but really it could have been a much cooler looking movie if the werewolves didn't look like some weird ghouls. Oh well it's not like it really hurt anyone.

so.. they had it on a leash... which was the only thing keeping it in captivity... then it scampered off... and proceeded to slowly (emphasis on SLOW) slaughtered them all!? heh. Not bad. The narrator did seem traumatized (good acting considering its an amature film. though i dont speak german so cant judge too well) but the actual killing could have used some work. More dynamic and exciting use of the camera+sound would have worked. And i knw they could have done it, seeing the rest of the film

Oh. Well thanks. Still again it MIGHT not be as bad as it looks. Sometimes the story is solid enough, but the budget is so low that the effects for the monsters were destroyed. The U.S. doesn't always make the best films (in fact it seems nowadays that for every 1 good film there are 10 pathetic an terrible ones) but we are able to afford good effects usually. However effects don't always save a movie. They sure would have helped this one though!

Well some independant films are good. Some don't even need great special effects to be. Ever seen Ginger Snaps? That was an independant Canadian film and it was great.The werewolves looked a little odd I'll admit, but mostly the movie involved facial prosthetics giving a transformation similar to the 80's The Fly. This could MAYBE be okay for story I guess but the creatures are a let down. But I haven't seen this yet so I suppose I can't judge fully yet.

Also it IS a forign film and even though I think those are alot of the time better than most U.S. films cause they focus on more of a story and characters rather than effects, this needed a good effects team to be taken truely seriously. I see what they are trying to do, but it just doesn't work with that look.
