I was at a Battle for Hill 861 Khe Sanh, 3-15/16-67. We 39 were on patrol and walked into a NVA ambush. There were no VC in the that area, just NVA serious uniformed rats. We we overrun and all killed and wounded by the end of the day but we ended up killing or driving off the NVA via my calling artilery and napalm and just shooting our way to the top. We won, 12 KIA and 26 WIA. 200 NVA found in a shallow grave later. Just another day at the Office for we US Marines. Semper Fidelis!
