What the hell is that person doing standing there, in front of the crossing gate, holding up a stop sign, and looking like an idiot with his or her thumb up his or her ass?
This is really trippy...I love it!! And I was born in Portland and lived in Beaverton for a while, so this brings back great memories. Loved the retractable gate, and how there was a signaler holding a stop sign in front of a crossing!! :)
The WCH e-bell combo at that last crossing sounds just like the bells at F.M. 2208 in Jefferson, TX. See my video titled "UP Mixed Goods Train at FM 2208, Jefferson, TX May 19, 2008" for comparison.

I remember a lot of folding gates in Chicago, folding to miss trolleybus overhead. When they still had trolleybuses, of course.

I like the old mechanical bells better! The only electronic bell I really like would be the WCH e bell. And maybe the GS type 1.

BTW, Did you see those new WES Trains on the PNWR in Beaverton? They are impressive, the horns sound like old BN GEEPs, and they have E-Bells.

Where is the sixth one found at? I really am intrigued

This was off of Natio Pkwy in Downtown Portland near the Union Station.

What causes the gates to turn on, as a train approaches? Is it something in the track or some kind of radar?
