When I rode this last year, I had a huge stomachache afterwards. I still had fun though. I'm not much of a coaster person, but this ride is pretty sweet. Gonna ride it again this summer and see if my stomach hurts a little bit less.

@whendamoneygoes it is a racing roller coaster, the gemini is 2 separate tracks though, the racer is continuous so its all one track. if you start on the right side in the station youll finish on the left and vice versa

I've been to Kennywood seven times in my life, and I live in Detroit. Everytime I've gone, all coasters have been open and operating for the public. You've must have just gotten bad days.

@DJmanrox actually Racer, Jackrabbit, and Thunderbolt have NEVER been closed any of the times I've been there in my life. And I've gone EVERY summer of my life, once I went five times in a summer. The only one's that have been closed for me are Phantom and Exterminator.

its like the grand national at pleasure beach blackpool if u start on left u finish on right its wierd but the grand national is better than this cos the first drop is awsome but this still looks fun wats the ohter mobius loop coaster called cos there 3 int there lol :)

I'm riding this one next year. It's like the American version of Blackpool Pleasure Beach, the woodies they have are old and I love the way they preserve them for future generations

I rode this yesterday and our train started out winning the race and then by the time we got to the second turn the red car pulled ahead and I was like "GET BACK HERE! LOSERS!" By the end of the ride we ended up winning! I like the Racer, it is fun!!!

If you check out mcgervey's The Racer at Kennywood Park Pittsburgh PA 2008 that's where i got my idea and my video that I have Racer at Kennywood Park POV (Blue Car) you can hear me saying "So long suckers." and "YEA BUDDY"

We dont just switch trains because another is broken, we switch every so often just to keep all three coasters in top shape. Other coasters such as the jack rabbit and tbolt swap trains almost daily. Its a lil harder for us at the racer.

WOW! I didn't know that this ride was a national historic landmark. I knew Leap the Dips was a landmark and now they charge $2.50 to ride it now....GRRRR! I hope they never do that to Racer. This ride I say is the best National Historic Landmark.

i went on this for the first time ever today and i gotta say it was sort of ironic. Like my ppl were in line and i was gonna ditch and then some workers like, " u can go". (like wtf?) Then we were like 3 people away from not going then another was like, "how many do you have"? (we had 4) then he was like " ok thats fine". I seriously almost pissed myself. Good ride though ;)

not true, it depends on the weight of the coaster the people that are on the ride, what ever train has more weight will win. I was there on sunday. and one time the blue was on one side. and since the track is one piece, later on the blue was on the other side and it lost both times,, but one time the blue did win and the red lost. it depends on the weight.

the reason there is a "Don't Stand Up" sign there is because a fifteen year old stood up and i think was flown from the seat and passed away. i belive that is what happened...

my friend and i were in line for this and it broke down. the poor people were stuck there for at least more than 10 minutes. i thnink they broke down at :49...idk though cuz they were on the other side.

I dont know if you guys still remember the story of the guy who fell off the top of the racer and died(WHICH IS WHY IT SAYS DONT STAND UP!) well my best friends grandfather was on the ride when it happened. He tells me the story ALL the time! But man,The Racer is basically the best "classic" wooden roller coaster in the world(:
