  • Great song but there are parts that sound alot like Triad

  • aahhh the good old days, I remember following this mod and chatting with you guys. BTW I still have it and I still use your CDOOM theme song in place of the "official" E1M9 track like it was in the first open Beta :)

  • @wileecoyote1969 Yeah dude, I remember you! We had a few very devout followers who I still remember, and a few of them I'm still online friends with. Can you believe it's been like 6 years since the cdoom forums were open? Crazy. I was the old guy in the group and I was 25 :)

  • bass guitar...

  • VERY GOOD! sounds Excellent!

  • YOU'RE THE GUY, BOY !

  • Goddamn this is badass!

  • whwre do i download or buy this game?

  • @SuperWolf3d Have you heard of Google?

  • @SuperWolf3d d3files.com. Look for it. You need to own the full Doom 3 game to play the mod.

  • Fucking amazing. I could definitely kill some demons to this.

  • 1:54-2:24 my fav parts....nm 0:00-3:52 are my fav parts

  • every time I watch this it just blows my mind how talented you are

  • This sounds almost like Half Life from 10 Years.

  • dude, you rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Still really digging your tone man! What kind of set up are you running through that PRS? And is everything in that guitar stock? Thanks and hope to see more from you!

  • @BrianS198 I'm just running my guitar through a POD, so it was really just a matter of getting the tone just right on that. As for my guitar, yeah, it's all stock. But it's a $2,000 stock, which is much different than a $200 stock :)

  • Really? I've heard good things about the things you can do with a POD. Personally I've always like the tone you could get from an SM57 or an Audix i5 a little better though. Still, you pulled off a great tone with that!

And no joke. Those high-end PRS's are great stuff. I'd like to have one someday, heh.

  • @BrianS198 Yeah I was lucky enough to have a really good job when I was still living with my parents so I bought it cash. I wouldn't be able to do that again that's for sure.

  • can i ask a question how did you edit this video pls help me

  • @SAT025R0cks That's a pretty broad question. I used Vegas Video 6.0 to do the editing. If you mean specifically how did I get each video track to show up in a section of the screen, I zoomed out on the track and then moved where it shows up. Look up how to do split screen stuff.

  • Now this is what I call talent.

Awesome skills, awesome video and cool music :) keep it up. ( I'm subscribing )

  • So fucking great song man! Doom's the best! thanks for the tabs and still playing like that. take care dude

  • you should make a tab video for every doom song

  • the percution is crazy, I love it. you're a multi-telented man, dude ;)

the guitar is great as well.

the bass is you as well ?!

  • @guky667 Thanks! Yeah I did all the instruments in this song.

  • The fingering of the song hates me. Otherwise, I think I can play this in its entirety. Much appreciated!

  • Enjoyable.

  • Forget Trent Reznor. Bring on these guys!

  • The guys making any future Doom games should hire you. Music and sound really make a game fun.

  • This is so awesome song part 1:38 is epic i like it this song is very good even the Doom 3 orginal song isn't that good as this masterpiece:D i give 5/5 and add to favourite.Greetz for all Sonic Clang team !!

  • The "team" says you're welcome :)

    I'm just one guy.

Thanks for saying what you said, it means a lot.

  • Best Doom song ever!!!!!!!

  • Thanks! It's not even really a Doom song :) but I'll take the compliment anyway.

  • Dude THATS SICK!!

  • Hey, Sonicclang! Since you were one of those who made the mod Doom 3 Classic... could you please tell me where I can download the mod?

You and Thumpmunk did a great job on re-making those Old doom Songs!

This song is also a Really Great one :D

  • thanks for the tab. fun to play, just like the doom3 theme!

  • Comment removed

  • The second i get a webcam that works. I want to remake the Doom 2 songs, as you have done with the Doom 1 songs. They're very similar, all pretty much based in C.

  • Almost most mastered this song on guitar.

    Fun as hell to play.

  • No pun intended, lol.

  • Haha. Nice.

Well that's really cool. When are you going to post a video???

  • Thats just awesome :D Ill try to play that with drums, doesnt seem too hard tho

  • Maybe it's just because I don't practice my drums much at all anymore, but this was really hard for me to play. It's more technical than you would think just listening to it. But hey, if you learn it, make a video, I'd love to see someone else playing it.

  • i think i have a problem that you of all people could answer

was the doom 3 menu soundtrack made by

    TOOL or Tweaker ?

  • Tweaker. Why is that a question? A simple Google search answers that. Tweaker is much closer related to Nine Inch Nails than Tool. Chris Vrenna formed Tweaker, who used to be in NIN.

You're not the first person to ask me that. If you do a Google search or look in the credits for Doom 3 you'll see who made the song. The theme song for D3 was also released a couple weeks before the game came out and id Software openly credited Tweaker as the composer. NIN was originally going to make the music.

  • ive seen some changes on Wikipedia where people keep changing the information because people think it was made by tool

  • Hence the biggest problem with Wikipedia.

  • you meant reznor was gonna make the music :) a simple google search will show that nin is one guy

  • Yeah, but when Trent Reznor puts out albums, he puts the name "NIN" on the cover as the band name, not his own name.

  • true but i dont consider it NIN's work i consider it trent's everyone needs a band name ;)

  • ah memories...

  • I'm almost having to throw up! So freaking EPIC is this song!

  • It's so epic you have to throw up? umm... thanks? :)

  • Yeah I know how it sounds xD This song is just too awesome!!

  • FUCKING AWESOME, INCREDIBLE JOB!!!

  • Excelent song! Does it really use 2 strings?

  • The rhythm guitar yes, only uses the bottom 2 strings. The "lead" guitar uses almost all of them throughout the song, but is mostly doing octave chords. The "lead" guitar in this song takes the place of vocals, if this song were to have vocals. That's the way I write most of my songs.

  • EPIC!!!

  • dud can u tell me where can i get d exe file

  • Nice job guys. You kick ass!

  • "Guys"? :) I'm just one guy. The magic of editing and split screen I guess makes me look like three or four guys.

  • Oh my bad. Just now c it. Haha sorry.

  • That's talent right there. Bass/Rhythm/Lead/FX/Mixing/DRUMS? Pure awesome!

I bet you sing, too, right?

  • Well, I CAN sing, but I don't have a very good singing voice. Notice how all my songs online are instrumentals? :) There's a reason for that.

  • eh I like it when an awesome artist only has instrumentals! When your playing halo 3 or oblivion the singers overbalanced voice doesn't drown out the games voice actors :D

  • Love the way you kept it original and not change it up I rock out to this song online all the time

  • Well, this is an original song by me. This wasn't actually in Doom. So yeah, I kept it original I guess.

  • Hahahaha, yeah, the first time I saw the video I though that were 4 guys haha

  • Such an epic song!

  • NICE!!!!!!!!

  • EPIC

  • SICK

  • that is sexy right there

  • thats was nicce!

  • I cant belive ive only just come across it

    Its epic!!!!

  • Well thanks, I appreciate it.

  • Doomy! 5 stars!

  • Hey it's me again, just droppin in again to listen to this damn awesome track!!!!!!!!!!

    it's beyond awesome actyally

  • you are great sonic. :D!

  • Wow! I think u are really good at drums and guitar! :)

  • I hail you and your talent! You're amazing character! You inspired me dude! Just keep it up!

  • Sounds very much like Triad by Tool, thats kewl.

  • Good observation. I was originally writing this song for a guy's Doom 3 level and he actually wanted to use Triad but also didn't want to get sued. So he asked me to write a song like it. I had never heard the song so I listened to it once, walked away for a couple days, and then started jamming, just trying to remember the general feel of the song. I didn't listen to the song again for months, and when I did I was a bit surprised at how similar they were.

  • Ah, i see. Triad is actually one of my favorite songs, so i really like this song.

  • i love doom and i love this theme song

  • hey not bad! cool song, i wonder why i haven't heard this before? this is awesome! nice work and mixing guys like the trem fx

  • I wonder why you haven't heard this song too :)

The tremelo section is by far the the most challenging part in this song to play. It's not that hard, it's just that the rest is really easy :) timing the tremelo effect to the song is tough to get set up.

  • Ah, thank you for adding tabs. I can't firgure out anything by ear to save my life. :) Great work, keep it up.

  • What? Do you know anything about what you're talking about?

  • 200mb? So you're saying I should put a 200 milli bit (a nonexistent unit of measure) delay on... one of the instruments? Do you mean 200ms? How did you come up with that number? To correctly match a delay to a song, you divide 60 by the BPM. Did you count the BPM? Because 200ms would be pretty damn fast for this song.

  • you,r inspired by tool that,s cool man

  • i don't remember this

  • Awesome but can't compare to the original :P

  • oops xD...i got it lol

  • I figured that was it :) Thanks for subscribing btw.

  • wheres the tab? lol

  • Do you have annotations turned off?

  • No, this song is by me. This is a song I wrote for the Doom 3 mod "Classic Doom 3". This is not the Doom 3 theme song. I'm simply saying that I was inspired by Tool when I wrote this song.

Yes, the original Doom 3 theme song was written by Tweaker.

  • this is awsome! 5 stars and an instant subscriber

  • Fricking sweetass work man! Keep it up! The original Doom 3 theme is a favorite of mine at the gym. Think I'm gonna have to start bringing this one along with me too.

  • w00t n1c3 mus1c

  • awesome!

    i wish i could play a guitar :(

  • sonicclangman!!!

    how are ya?

i've might said this before that i play drums, anyway,i'm trying to play it tho,i listen to this song everyday, even when i go by bike to school XD,on one day,u'll see me playing the drums of this song on youtube!!! XD

  • dang, this brings you the chills.... and it's a DOOMish tune too. Great job, man, but I'd like the know the tabs for the effects guitar.

  • Wow loved every second of it

im learning rhythem guitar and i was hopin when i get better id give this a good run

good job man loved it :D

  • Awesome man, good luck with learning guitar.

  • thanks man. believe me this wud be the first song i would do :D

  • Well i does sound like Tool but im sorry to say,its not. It's by Tweaker not Tool. Still tho, you did a good job. Nice vid and great talent (^.^)

  • This isn't the Doom 3 theme song. This is my song for the Doom 3 mod "Classic Doom 3". This song was 100% made by me, not Tweaker. They made the theme song for Doom 3. And again, this is not the Doom 3 theme song.

  • woow this is... AWESOME!

  • Seriously i have to thank you for this music(inspired by the original Doom songs of course). The remakes of those classics tunes that you have produced are just to cool!

There is so much garbage out there these days its hard to find anything remotely decent that fits my tastes but discovering songs like this has made the searching all worhtwile. Keep up the good work man!

  • Great stuff man, always loved this song, gets me in the mood for doom :).

I would have loved to see you do a few tracks of DOOM 2.Like Map07-Dead Simple(Shawn's Got The Shotgun). But after the Classic Doom 3 album,i would say it knocked the crap outta you : D.

My favorite part of this song would have to be at 1:55,the build up to it was Awesome!

    Good stuff man ^_^

  • That was actually the first part I wrote for this song. It's just the way song writing goes sometimes. An initial idea will inspire you and suddenly you've got 5 other pieces of music. Hell, sometimes I don't even use the first thing I write for a song.

  • O really?Thats Cool! Its in the perfect spot in the song!

Also thanks for the tabs,Im learning Bass at the moment, when i get good enough i will try this song : )

    Again well done!

  • Cool man! I can't wait to see a video of you playing this on bass :)

And that's awesome you're going to use my songs in your videos!

  • :) yea man i hope to post myself playing! wont be for awhile though.

Yea man thanks for letting me use your stuff again : )

  • You're the man! Thanks!!

  • Well Ur music has always been kickass!!

  • Awesome!

  • awesome job dude!and thank's 4 the tab!

  • i ahve a question: could you by some chance know anything about doom 4 and will you be making the music for it? (if you don't want people knowing about it just send me a youtube message)

  • I have no idea. I'm in the dark just like everyone else. I'd love if id software contacted me to do the music! :) but that probably won't be happening. Wouldn't that be a really cool nod to the mod community though if they got me to do it? Well... I think so anyway :)

  • Nod to the mod. Great rhyme! In all seriousness you should present it to ID Software.

  • Hell yeah, thanks for the tab using annotions :D

I did on my guitar and it sounds great, and also sounds good on bass :D

  • Awesome, I'm glad someone's using it. It literally took me weeks from start to finish to write the tab and insert all the annotations at just the points during the video.

  • now you know how i feel, (i actually kind of feel special because someone as cool as you was inspired to put up annotation tabs by a small wanna be rocker like me)

  • You were literally the first person I saw putting guitar tabs in a video like that. Not that you're the first to do it, but you were the first I saw. I thought it was fricken cool as hell!! I had a few more parts to write annotations for than you though :)

  • thanks man i really appreciate it, and since i know you did the music for the doom classic mod, did you recreate that victory song when you beat the episode? after the phobos anomoly?

  • No we didn't have time to make that song.

  • Well I'm a musician myself and try to time delay and tremolo live to a lot of songs so to me that was impressive. :D

  • Unless your drummer is playing along to a metronome live, timing a tremolo is almost impossible. It's tough to pull off.

  • ... unless you have a rig that allows you to tap the timing. :)

  • Who would want to do that live? If the drummer speeds up or slows down you'd have to sit there with your foot constantly correcting the delay. I'd much rather have the drummer playing with headphones and a metronome.

  • I think some of the drummers I've used that with before must have subconciously used the tremolo/delay timing as a metronome (or consciously, I know my current drummer likes to have the guitar pretty loud in his monitor mix). They were able to keep the timing amazingly close, anyway.

  • This is pure and absolute kickassedness! (I think I just made that word up) :)

I love how the second guitar part's tremolo effect near the beginning is timed perfectly with the main guitar part's rhythm... this song has a perfect feel for DooM as well. :)

    ***** <-- 5 stars :)

Ever play any DooM 3 multiplayer? I used to be pretty damned good at it (thanks to Quake 3) and competed at high level back in the day. I'm very rusty now but it's still fun. :)

  • Thanks man. you're the first to notice/comment on the tremolo effect. it took a while just to get the effect timed just right to the BPM of the song.

I wrote the song to have that "Doom feel". Originally I was thinking of making a medley of a bunch of parts from the songs from Doom, but I decided making an original song would be better. This took me a while to arrange. I wrote the parts in one jam session. The drums are really hard. At least for me :)

  • this track is GOLD! :D

  • TOOL is one of my favorite bands ever!!

this is excellent music! 10 stars

  • Awesome,Sonic clang rules, the drums,is it player with double drum thingy or something called like that?

  • wow i thought you were just kickass at guitar...

  • what apms/pedals u using to get ur tone

  • Line 6 POD 2.0

  • do you do base/bass. can really remember how 2 spell it

  • Yes I do, but I don't own a bass guitar. I did own one I would have included it in this video.

  • what software did you use to make the four vids all toghether as one? sony vegas?

  • Yup, Sony Vegas 6.0 is what I use.

  • cool i thought so cuz a buddy of mine got the same exact software and im buying a capture card and problibly that sony vegas software if i have enough i got enough for the capture card but i dont know about the vegas,uh how much for the vegas,i saved my money for about 2 weeks xD

  • You don't need the $350 version like I got, you can get Vegas Movie Studio, which is around $80 or so, and surprisingly has almost all the features the expensive one has. The features it doesn't have, you won't miss until you want to get into some advanced stuff.

  • hey man what tuning is your guitar in cuz i might be able to learn how to play that song from watching the top right screen

  • The top right screen is the drums. Do you mean top left? The tuning is simply drop D. I should have included that in the text at the beginning of the video.

  • Hey sonic, hows it been man! Long time no talk,

I see you're still kicking ass man! How's the baby been?

  • Hey man, thanks for stopping by. The baby is doing well. She had a rough weekend so she's a little fussy this morning. But nothing big.

  • ah that always happens, my baby cousin does that a lot :P hope all goes well for her!

  • Congratulations Mr. Clang, you have brought a great number of schoolbus-riding teens to worship you in the name of all that is metal.

But seriously, nice work as always. Congrats on keeping the reality at bay and continuing to thrash.

Another note, you look similar to someone I know... and that '96 myspace picture looks similar to one of my friends. Interesting, to say the least.

  • Thanks man. Bus-riding teenagers really is my target audience. :) ok maybe not, but a fan is a fan.

So I look like someone you know? They say everyone has a twin.

  • Any chance for some Final Doom songs someday?

  • I probably won't be remaking any more Doom songs. Not any time soon anyway.

  • Sweet, finally! thats definately my favorite song of yours, very toolish. is it played in drop d?

  • Yup, drop D it is. I'm actually in the process of writing out the tabs, although it's taking me a while because I suck so bad at it.

  • that would be cool. btw, are the leads at 0:57 made by a delay or a tremolo?

  • That's tremolo.
