  • I like the bloopers : D

  • im getting case :P

  • I don't see why it's weight is a problem. Once you have your setup you will rarely need to move the case. So for me, that con is invalid.

  • @harryman04 well, those of us that have friends who play video games like to play together and transferring a heavy case can be a tough one :)

  • this case owns can fit 2 5870s in no problem

  • to heavy

  • Anyone else notice the label for the rear fan says "RERA"..?

  • Comment removed

  • near silent ??? my assssss this case cries like a baby

  • Sorry for the langauge but why the fuck would you install 2 power supplys? Buy 1 big ass PSU and your done.

If you install 2 PSUs you will have to start the 2nd one by hand which is annoying and 2 is completely unnessacary.

  • two power supplies means that each one will run cooler, so that their overall fan noise should be less than one power supply running under a heavy load.

wrt to the previous "100% efficiency" comment, there is no such thing as a p.s. that runs at 100% efficiency, but since you probably meant that it doesn't run at peak efficiency, that would be dependant on the design of the p.s.... typically, a quality p.s. will hit high efficiency at 200 watts or more.

  • Way to kill you're botherboard considering the 2 PSUs will be running on different converters creating voltage spikes and unclean power.

Dont plan on doing any longterm clocking on that rig.

  • the two power supplies have a common ground that you have to hook up via a seperate wire... all of these comments are kinda moot anyway, since the case isn't in production anymore.

  • one for mobo, one for fans, hdds, disk drives etc = more wires than you can ever find ridiculous uses for

  • It's still stupid.... You will have 2 cords going to your wall from your PC wtf for

  • it's so you can have a lighter load without going through the crap of a dual rail psu. and so you Definitely have enough connectors for any setup

  • double powersupplies are stupid.

its a waste of money in the first place and a waste of money while using it. (the psus dont work @ 100% efficiency, so every one wastes some energy) and: its going to be much hotter and louder..

    STUPID

  • @woodenforest3 What you fail to understand is that the higher the load on the power supply, the lower efficiency gets. By splitting the power load across two power supplies, efficiency is actually INCREASED compared to using a single power supply. This is due to lower temperatures of the coils and regulators, as well as avoiding MOSFET electron saturation.

In addition, the two power supplies are connected with the 'green wires', which allow one switch to turn them both on.

  • hahahaha

  • Kick ass PRODUCT ! :P

  • haha the end

  • i love my antec900....

i carry my desktop very often with me around (lan's), so i do not like big cases, i prefer the smaller ones :)

i dont do watercooling anyways and when, then I would cut the top of the case of and install the radiator there....

  • can you use your own psu's?

or do you have to use the stock ones?

  • use urs

  • Best. Bloopers. Ever.

  • LOL %100 kickass productfhdkjheifh

  • Is there another version of this case that only runs on one PSU? I really like it but it puts me off with the 2 PSU holes. =[

  • antec p180

  • I dont see the issue... you dont use more power than your system uses anyways. If you have a 1KW PSU with an old system who only requires 200W it will only use 200W...

  • no, the components will use the same amount and the energy which they dont require will be transformed in heat -.-

so if u have 1k psu then u use 1k.

    anyway, who needs that?

u may need 750-800 fro tri SLI AND watercooling o.0

  • dude, keep your stoneage gear to yourself man, if 700W was transformed into heat my computer would be HOT, i use around 300W and have a 1kW PSU. ive checked with the ammeter and the power usage... funny as it is... is just around 300W, a little more(327.5W).

  • funny, i saw now that you had replied and it already has -1... Well, My GTX SLI system required around 750Watt and i was using 5 harddrives at the time different other cards etc. I didnt check the power usage at the time but it has become irrelevant since graphic cards require less W now, and i got a new card.

  • it is funny that i just gave u -1, so that u have already -1....

    i can do that too....

  • that settles it ^^ you really are retarded, why would i be the one -1'ing you, watch this, now i t-down'd you and you have -2

  • WHO THE HELL NEEDS TWO PSUS???

  • idiots :D

or people who need more power for video cards lol?

  • I somewhat agree. I'd like it if they sold this case without PSUs

  • i guess if you have the mother of all computer it might require more than one psu. Or if your being cheap you could buy two lesser powered psu's

  • Its a case designed for a EATX motherboard, which would typically be a dual-socket Xeon or Opteron board. Some of the Harpertown Xeons need 120W per CPU. A High-end workstation card.. ~150W. Four FB-DIMM modules.. ~100W

Thats almost 500W before you account for the motherboard, harddrives, and other devices. The power supplies used run cooler than a single 1KW power supply would, which helps keep the lower chamber stay cool and quiet.

Who needs it? People who know what the hell they're doing.

  • hm... is it necessary to use both psus at the same time? i mean: i'm really interested with this case, i'd like to buy it for my c2duo based system /standard mobo, gtx2xx, 1 hard drive/- so i won't need all the power that psus can give me. so, the question is- is it possible tu use only one Psu (650)? and have the second disconnected from the case?

  • Hey!

    I got a question..

I got the P190 case, the asus rampage x48 motherboard, One 4870x2. Will the 650w PSU to power the motherboard and the pci-e card without a problem?

  • a little bad whit 2 psu's... dont it get messy and u need 2 cable to power all 2

  • lol he gets excited about kickass products

  • i have the p180 for my dual core am building a quad core with a phenom and large saphire HD card and an old large ati card for crossfire, and antec have got me again im getting this! even if it is like £85

compared to the £15 cases at maplin!

  • L O O O O O L @ bloopers.

  • great review, funny ending 5 stars.

  • haha 8:51

  • considering buying one :)

  • The P-182 is exactly like this case but only uses one power supply. I'd prefer the P-182. But the P-182 has only one 140mm fan at the top.

  • You mean one 120mm fan at the top.

  • Yes he does, it also doesnt have a 200mm side fan :O

  • ROFL at the bloopers, look at 8:51 lol

  • lol

  • at the high config. it sounds like 100 bees.

i got the p180 and i have not seen any differences!

@deadlus: in germany, u can buy it for ( i dont know the dollar ;)) ~ 300 dollar.

    the p180 for 150 dollar.

and the p182 for 100 dollar.

  • lol very minor!!!!!!!! very minor!!!!

  • Is this case out yet? I've looked around on NewEgg and TigerDirect and I can't find it.

  • i love the ending!

    lol

  • I have an 140mm fan that is broken... I need to replace it to a new one. But I dont find anyone from Antec!!! The have tevery other fan but not that fan, someone who nows where u can buy it?

  • Nice review, great bloopers :D

  • I wish they;d change the top drive cage to hold 4 HD's like the bottom cage. I've got a P180b case and I've often wished I had room for 2 more HD's inside the case. I had to buy an AMS Venus T4U external enclosure to put my remaining drives in.

  • You can tell his "screwups" at the end are basically him just acting like an idiot, you can clearly see he doesnt really mess up he chooses to just start acting like a moron. He could have kept going with most of those takes lol hes so weird.

  • this is a 500 dollar case if u put another hundred dollars u can get the 9800gx2

  • I think 2 pwr supplys is way to much, one of 650w and one of 550w thats insane. You need to have at least 3 vid cards and a lot of hdds and other drives. Sick but not nescesary

  • that is god damn high-end case!!!

  • Again with the stupid vertical mounting of harddrives. They will die sooner, even if the brand says they won't, trust me on that.

Also, why all the fans? I have a fanless case, which works just fine.

  • what do you use your pc for? just internet use i bet

  • No. I'm betting I probably use it for more than you ever will, even. The obsessive cooling is for amateurs. Overheating has rarely, if at all, been the reason for trouble in any server or PC I've ever maintained or administered in my 42 years on this planet. If the electronics are any good, they can handle a little heat just fine.

  • doubtful, since you have only had access to recent computing in the past 15 years, i was born in those fifteen years and will thus live past your death. and when i am 42 i am pretty sure all of your supposed claims of usage will be obsolete. sorry

  • You're an idiot.

  • I wholeheartedly agree! Why all the excessive cooling? I do very CPU and graphics intensive work on my PC, I never needed more cooling than the passive one, even! Maybe they all live in the tropics or something. We sure don't ;-)

  • well here is pomona it gets hell of hot!

  • then take the big boy fan off then -.- think!

  • the only prob here is if u have a tall cpu cooler or gpu it won't fit because the big boy fan will obstruct it

  • Great review!

  • is the motherboard tray removable ?

  • no its not. but theres enough room

  • Why the internal light? Geez. The pro's all have their own LED-flashlight (I use a Fenix L2D for such tasks).

Also, why the heck the included PSUs? We will pick our own, thank you very much Antec!

Last but not least, why on earth would anyone want to mount their HardDrives vertically? You must be crazy to do that.

  • This is probably the best computer case.

  • Did he mention if the motherboard tray is removable? :o

  • its not man i got the one down from this and its basiclly the same

  • "Excellent anti-vibration properties!"

  • could someone tell me the difference between the P180 and the P190?

    And nice vid!

  • The p190 has two PSUs, and more fans including a 200mm.

  • and the P190 is a full tower (I think) either way, it has no problems anymore with mounting new high end graphics card.

  • I heard if you have a third party heatsink, the 200mm fan will get in the way and might have to be removed

  • that would suck ass.

  • This review has excellent antivibration properties and won't scratch the surface.

  • 9:08 ROFLMAO!

  • 9-11 was an inside job

  • When you minues the PSU's it's not necessarily that expensive if your gonna end up buying $150-$200 PSU

  • Looks like the PC tower gives a mechanical engineer a role to play in personal computer construction.

  • 8:34 LOL

  • I have been looking long and hard for A New Case for my next pc. I will look no more 100% kick ass.

  • Damn that case is big, i have a P182, but this looks enormous next2 it.

  • Overall i like this chassi BUT what i dont like is the psu's...1200w?!? dosnt even need 700-800w for 7 drives, 2x8800ultra sli with a overclocked c2d cpu...

  • I have 8800ultra, q6600, 4gb ram, 2 harddrives and dont even need more than 620w :)

  • Your on the limit, get a new one ASAP.

  • I know a guy that have the same with 620w, and he has way more stuff than me.. It works great =)

  • Aye but not for long.

  • It's not like the components are going to draw more power as they age. =/

  • You have to trust me on this, it is causing STRAIN on the PSU.

  • No, they aren't.

If the PSU can't handle it, it will shut down or prevent the system from booting.

People can run Q6600's @ 3.4Ghz, two SLI'd 8800GTX's and 4GB of RAM with three HD's on a high quality single 12v Rail 600 Watt PSU.

The wattage is far less important than the amperage and stability of the PSU. I'd take a Corsair 520 Watt over a Cooler Master 850 Watt any time.

  • Look mate - I'm not an idiot.

Do what you like, I don't give a fuck.

  • Some "PC nut" you are.

You don't even know anything about power supplies and system loads. =/

  • Like I said, do what you like - what do I know?

  • It's not a matter of me doing what I like.

It's you not knowing what you are talking about.

Read up on Power Supplies, and specifically, which ones are better and for what reason.

  • So you think that the PSU will shut the PC off if it is under strain? - Wrong.

It is most likely that when the computer is turned on the PSU will be most as strain and get destroyed, taking some other stuff with it.

I am a graphics card beta tester - in the extreme testing I carry out, I must try different PSU's - and I know from experience that that particular PSU is under pressure!

  • 620W on any power supply can only just about to hold one 8800GTX, Q6600, 4gb of RAM and 1 hard drive. Absolutely no more!

  • what is the max wattage by one of these8800 gtxs? aound 200 watts no? Q6600 pulls over 75 watts, the mobo a couple other 200, Ram would be about 150 right?

  • Yes but you cannot go by wattage. I have already said that I am using a 620W power supply in my build (LOOK AT MY VIDEOS DUMBASS). But I have seen the make and model of the person who said he needs no more than 600W and the power supply is crap, he needs a new one. Which was the argument in discussion.

Don't but into conversation you know nothing about.

  • hey id rather but into a conversation that i dont know much of to learn from it. dont criticize me for it man im just trying to get it right tos that asshole like you dont give me shit all of the time!

  • I'm not an idiot, you tried to be sarcastic.

  • 9-11 was an inside job . period

  • LOL well put.

But stupidly off-topic - I'm not reply to your comments anymore, I have proved my point to the person initially arguing (well he shut up so I suppose I have) so I don't need any more comments from you thank you.

  • ok, thanks

  • Have you been in the computer trade for 10 years? No, well then I suggest you stop arguing with people that have.

Its like telling a Geography specialist that Paris is in India.

  • I've been building computers since I was 8.

I'm 19 now, and a computer repair technician for three years.

A Q6600, 8800GTX, 4gb of RAM and a hard drive will barely draw 550 watts. Perhaps 580 at the most. As long the power supply is able to maintain stable current and amperage, then there is nothing to worry about.

  • Of course, but try adding 30% efficiency of 550W, and what have you got?

More than 580 watts you moron. ALWAYS add 30% to what you need for efficiency and heat dissipation.

  • If you are talking about some cheap-ass 620 Watt power supply, then more wattage would be necessary to cover the inconsistency in voltage metering and power output.

A high quality 620 Watt power supply such as a Corsair or PCP&C achieved that rating at a high temperature. A Corsair 620 Watt can crank out 650 Watts at maximum load at room temperature, and a PCP&C can hit 650 Watts as well. The Wattage of these power supplies is measured at 50 Degrees C, which greatly reduces efficiency.

  • Look he doesn't have a Corsair or PCP+C PS you nob.

If you payed attention to my system build on my profile you would see that I am getting the Corsair 620...

But he has a shitty power supply. How do I know? Because I have seen a comment from him in another video and trust me its not good. So before you go fucking around in someones advice which happens to be correct, be correct yourself.

    Goon.

  • Since everyone is talking about power.. What's appropiate for a dual video card set up? Plannning to build one with 2 Harddrives and one disc drive.

  • Its hard to tell as we don't know your specs but if they are two 8800's I would go for a Corsair 720 or 820.

  • with the upper hd cage can you have the fan and the pci holder at the same time?

  • yes

  • Hey Rodney, which case is better temperature wise? This one or the Antec 900 ?

  • The Antec 900 sounds like a group of stampeding fans

  • wtf 6:22

  • My one gripe with this case (aside from the fact that it weighs about half a kiloton) is the PSU setup; why have a 650W power the MB, CPU, VGA, and add-on cards, while the 550W powers nothing but fans, drives, etc.? Most setups' fans, HDDs, optical drives, etc. draw no more than about 50W. Why not also put two (maybe even four) PCI-E connectors on the 550W so you could power two 2900xt/8800gtx/8800u cards?

  • where's the toaster?

  • in the back of ur moms face

  • wow, that had to be the lamest attempt for a comeback that wasn't necessary, that i have ever read, again, WOW!!!

  • whatever u say nigger, did ur mom tell u to say that>?

  • no, but dont use such fowl language with me, i dont appreciate it, and if your white, ill fucking kill you

  • im mexican hommie, so suck it nigga

  • com'on man, that still doesnt give u a right to use that word

  • You meant to say "don't use such foul language". "Fowl" is a bird. Nevertheless, I agree with you. There's no need for such language and insipid immature comments such as those. Aside from this, 3GM is very good at describing, but fails miserably at truly reviewing a product.

  • agreed, i hardly touches on why the case doesn't get a 100% kickass or just kickass or great. Hell he hasn't done anything lower.

  • In the "Mini fan controller" if you look closely, there's a type-o! Rear is spelled "Rera". =D

  • Robot man, how'd you snag the Matrix room?

  • you, sound like, capt, kirk, or a... robot. why, is that??

  • why, do you, talk like a... robot??

  • Lots of worthless features. IE the two power supplies when a single will do fine. The work light that runs off the power supply (don't work on a comp in the case with power plugged in). Also the small air intake with the front cover closed.

  • if it's dual layer why not add insulation to keep it cool on the inside ? lol

  • this looks better than the 900

  • ...and 300$ more...

  • wow i didnt think it what that expensive

  • i LOVE the features of that case, but why 2 power supplys? i would rip them both out if i bought the case though lol. also, im not sure on the styling.

  • I wouldnt mind to pay the $400 bucks for that case, is really neat.

  • I want this. lol funny ending..100% kick ass productUHHHHHHHHHH

  • isn't it easier to have one 800W power supply?

  • Kick-ass case, kick-ass review. This case is better than most of the white-box server cases I've used, and is obviously geared to those who have to work inside the case. A built-in worklight? No sharp edges? Sweet. Excellento.

  • thats the exact same case i bought for my computer, i knew it was ergonomically good

  • damn thats a lot of features

  • wow... two psu's in one case....... talk about overkill, but gotta love mr.reynold's reviews

  • Absolutely awesome case!!!!!!!

    Absolutely awesome review!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Well done 3DGAMEMAN!!!!!

  • Steel and plastic? Why isn't it aliminum, aliminum is much ligher :(

  • Well aluminum is lighter but this means also more vibrations... more wight => less vibrations

  • Simply amazing, i would expect NO overheating with this case.

  • I seen this case in front of me on antec . com

  • Another great and complet review. Great Job.

    Cool bloopers lol.

  • Now that is a 'cool' case! I like the cable management!!

  • Nice review man...

  • lol at the blooopers

  • aha this case loks amazing

    i need a new psu... :(

  • I declare this video review 100% Kickass.

  • Another great job Rodney. Keep up the good work. This case is brilliant, it has everything!

  • For my first build I'm most likely using this case, its very very nice

  • I've just got mine for my first build! Its amazing, and not that expensive when you think a 1000w power supply cost about £140 $280 and you get it included

  • Really? Thats good priced, I'm either using this one or the P80? Well they look the same, but the features with this one, its a pretty good deal!

  • I reckon its an amazing deal to go with the p190. The p180 is lovely too, but then add on the price of a powerful power supply and you're looking around the same price as the p190, which is bigger, so will handle all those massive video cards with ease, with the addition of better airflow

  • Is this this loud at low/medium/high settings respectively?

  • lol why did i write "this this"...i must be tired...

"this case" is what i meant.. =S

  • with all fans on low its pretty quiet. thats what i have it on. if you were to replace the fans you could get it inaudible. medium isnt too bad compared to what some pc's are like and high is pretty loud. although the 200mm fan on mediium is still pretty quiet and cools brilliantly. Im a musician though so quietness is uber important. the case doesnt disapoint mate

  • thank you for your quick and comprehensive answer

  • No worries mate

  • nice review mate keep em coming

  • I m getting the P182
