I think it was the Lusitania - all the ships have to be models of actual ships in the second world war. The bullets are bigger than a BB, more like the thickness of a pencil, and very powerful - they can penetrate about 2 inches of dense foam and you do NOT want to be in the way of a broadside. Sectators all have to wear protective goggles while a battle is on. But of course its great fun.
@Meriphistimo The triple funnel'er was not the Cunard line Lusitania. The vast majoraty of all luxury ocean liners of Titanic's size had four 'stacks.
Olympic, Titanic, Brittanic, all White Star Line...All had four stacks.
Aquatainia, Lusitania, and the Mauretania, all Cunard line. All six are a few examples of quad stack liners.
@o3941 Well, they're fairly fussy about that sort of thing - you can't compete in the battles unless the model is more or less a good representation of the actual ship in question. Mind you, they don't pay TOO much attention to fine detail given the boats are designed to have bits shot off them and sink...
"[blah blah blah] Titanic [blah]"
Why does EVERYONE think EVERY old-timey ocean liner is the Titanic even the ship looks nothing like it?

This is Big Gun Model Warship Combat, and all of the ships are from the Australian Battle Group.
Yes, they really do shoot, yes they really do sink and yes, it's fun.
For more info, google "Ausbg" or "Model warship combat"

The model ships with the BB guns that do battle with each other, is there a specific name for this? :)
Which liner was the 3-funnel model?

Lusitania had 4 funnels and sank in 1916, though. YEah the pellets are kinda big, yeah, as I recall. People get stung by them :P

@o3941 Thanks for that! As is obvious, I'm really a total noobie at all this...

@Meriphistimo But of course, this is only assuming in the fact that the Model was fully finished and in perfect condition.
