I agree with Anne. I don't think she has done enough for gay people to deserve an award from us. I like her but I had no idea she even supported us until I saw this posting on Youtube. I have never heard her say anything supportive about gays in any of her TV interviews and I have never seen her out protesting with us.
The HRC needs to realize it's OK sometimes not to give out an award each year if there is no deserving. Since this award I still have not heard Anne speak out for us.

HRC has a history of forgeting transexual rights/it compromises its goals [supports moderatly pro-gay candidates that have a change to win over strongly pro-gay candidates who don't have a chance{so basically, you don't have to work to get their endorcement}]
their approach to gay-rights is, I feel, too focused on gay-marriage. And doesn't really stab out at gay-homeless youths, or amnesty rights for gays seeking asylem in USA[issues that I value far more than marriage]

I grew up with an aunt and her "friend" who was always an aunt to me, I was told at an early age what was what.

i sobbed through this whole video.. i think she is one of my most favorite famous people now. I guess i am lucky enough to have a family that supports me and my bf... which is why i appreciate her words so much.. I really hope alot of humans can learn from her and her family...!

she's the perfect role model for young teenagers ;) i admire her so much..she stays away from the spotlight,unlike any other celebs who r fame whores,she tried to stay away as far as possible from tabloids,but still manage to rock hollywood,and makes big movies and very stable job.i love her!

I thought Hathaway was good in BBM but I didn't much care for her then, but now. I think she just became one of my favourite people of the world. And psychologically she blew me away with her eloquence and humility and intelligence and the way she cares. Bless her. I'll definitely be following what she does more.
