I have MD and i am an atheist, if anything having these conditions should make you more aware of how the world works and that some higher being doesn't control our fate... theres no reason why we have this defect, its just by random chance that i have these defects.. it doesnt matter how disabled i get in the future, there will always be happy times in my life, and i am so great-full that i live in a time where intelligence can get you places.

my first family member bobby faro died at the age of 18 with dmd in the 1980s

my sencond is my brother andy stokes he is 30 years old with dmd and went into wheel chair at the age of 21 with taking prednizone

im 13 years old my name is dakota ferrazzi

i have dmd and still walking i take prednizone im hoping in the next few years they find a cure

Hang in there Dakota. I'm 29 years old and I volunteer 20 hours a week working with people just like you and Bobby. Never will I ever accpe t a penny for what I do. But going broke to help fight this disease. You can bet on it! I'm active in 5 other organizations as well. Those include, working with the blind, deaf, mental retardation, down syndrom and those who are completely paralized. Not a single one of them, ever gives up. They do what they do, at their pace. Not anyone else's. Be strong!

My cousin's cousin had DMD, but his family was messed up. I don't know if they were ashamed of him or just lazy, but he hardly left the house. I felt so bad for him. My cousin led a great life because of the loving support of his family. Sucks that he had to deal with his parents' divorce on top of the struggle of every day life.
