I definitely would beg to differ with your statement that Lyrics Born "raps on the rest of his album". Lyrics Born sings like this on a LOT of his songs. He employs a similar singing style on songs like "Callin' Out", "I Changed My Mind", "Lady Don't Tek No", and MANY more. Not trying to start an argument or anything, just imploring you to give him another chance; even if you don't like his more traditional hip-hop tracks, he's got quite a few more songs like this.
