I saw a video of him speaking. it reminds me of my friend who got brain trauma from a longboarding accident he almost died, he looks and sounds different but hes back to playing drums and hes back in the marching band. life is just a blessing! and I love vermont btw! we go every winter and once in the summer it's so nice!

I found out about Kevin Pearce right after i watched the winter olympics. I saw Scotty Lago won the bronze medal and then i found out about the Frends crew and that's when i knew about KP and his injury. I may not know him that long, but i can't help but cry watching this tribute. He's a great guy and he has an amazing family and "frends" behind him. Kevin is one of the most amazing human beings i have ever met as well as an amazing snowboarder. Every time I've met him at competitions he's been so grateful for his fans, always taking time to say hi, take some pics and give an autograph. I still can't believe this happened to him.

Danny davis story is sad too but its not nearly as bad of an injury as KP. Davis is that man and I like him too but his injury occurred when he was drunk on a quad or so I heard!

I've been through this with two friends with traumatic brain injury--one in a car accident the other had an aneurism, both were very, very seriously injured--10 and 2 years later they are different people. They were both supposed to die. I was blown away by how well Kevin looks in the photos, excellent eye contact, looks "there", fit, normal facial expressions. He has a LONG way to go but it is a great to see how well he looks. I know how people look with bad brain damage--not like that.
this is just so unbelievably heartwarming...knowing he has all of this support behind him with his fans and especially his family just reassures the fact that HE IS GOING TO BE OKAY. Stay strong kevin...we love you!
