  • sick sound! 4age is an icon! thanks for posting!

  • weź kurwa to wykasuj

  • sound is PORN!

  • toyota owners hating on hondas? fags. idiots too.

  • you might wanna warm it up before you beat the crap out of it .

  • Fuck i love that sound.

  • Hey man, nice car, gotta be honest here and say I like the sound of the 16v alot more than the 20v, what one do you prefer driving with?

  • What do you use for your ECU?

    Mine doesn't rev that smoothly.

  • this is sickk! cant wait to do this to my car! major props

  • nice looking engine/car thumbs up :)

  • im not very educated on this so im asking. what is the benefit, wait first off is there now 5 vavles per cylinder or am i just retarded and is it a different concept. and whats the benefit to converting to a 20v head, more power?

  • @anasamla Do you drive an american car?

    Stock 16v 4ag - 125hp 9.4:1 compression - rev limit 7800rpm

    Stock 20v 4ag - 165hp 11:1 compression - rev limit 8200rpm

20v is just newer too, so a little more oomph with more technology behind it.

  • ok but will this thing turn or brake at all?

  • initial D ^_^

  • really nice car dude..fkn awesome sound;) and the rev limiter is sooo nice xD

  • love the sound of a good 4AG

  • what mods did you have done besides the itb?

  • frame oil filter = no good. toyota oem ftw

  • XTwina are you serious?ugly car?

  • sick vid man....i know the beauty behind those cars.

  • That is a slow car.

  • i love the throtle body. no homo but can you increase the size of the throtle body?

  • How much power do these make? Im thinking 180-190 at the most?

  • @str8gone04 a silver top comes with 165hp a black top i think is 140hp and the red tops come with 140hp and the blue top has 130hp. the ITB gives it a little more, so depending if he did the cams and valves, he could anywhere from 170-220 hp.

  • Silvertops are 158 hp and blacktop is 162.

Both Silvertop and Blacktop comes with ITB`s but there are a few differences between the two.

JDM/EDM 16v Bluetop (Bigport.) with MAP is 124 hp, USDM 16v Bluetop with MAF is 112 hp. These numbers I am absolutely sure of.

Redtop (Smallport.) (JDM/EDM.) I am unsure of, around 130 to 140 hp? Google it :)

  • ST is 158, BT is 162, BlueTop EDM/JDM spec with MAP is 124, BlueTop USDM with MAF sensor is 112 hp, JDM Red Top is 140.

Cams and valves might get you 200 hp in a hurry but the engine will definitely die.

Best to do full tune-up job type 220hp plus minus.

It will last you a season if you do good with oil changes, for winter use a stock blacktop with velocity stacks and open filter, you`ll have 165-170 reliable horses for winter fun while saving up for overhaul for the race engine :)

  • @ToreDL87 - aftermarket cams and valves alone don't kill motors.

  • @zeeer0psi I never said aftermarket cams and valves kills engines, but if you are gonna put them on you need new buckets, shims, rebalancing etc etc, thats basically an entire head jobs worth, if youre going to do that, might as well tune up the entire engine for race instead of going thru all that work for just 10-15 hp increase ;)

  • 20 valves are a waste of time sr that bitch

  • YESSSS SR :)

  • This is the prime example how torque is better than HP. does not seem to have a lot of bottom end grunt to spare

  • fuck torque

  • WHY?

  • That car is SEX

  • Damn, that sounds sooo good! :D

  • If you think first, that this is slow, remember that speedo is in MPH.

  • I wonder why even at 7-8K RPM the car doesn't seem to be going?

  • Well, it does 0-60, if you watch the speedo, pretty respectably.

Just remember, these engines haven't got that much torque to move a car.

  • i think its because this engine has a higher rev limit and he's shifting too early then the original 16v 4AGE

  • cause malaysia uses km, this is mph

  • Tach could be off.

  • @netmatrix75 well it is a pathetic toyota...

  • what a sound.

  • stock?

  • do you mean trueno?

  • Can you use the trumpets with OEM ECU? I mean the blacktop one :)

  • To the best of my knowledge trumpets on a blacktop must be run with an aftermarket ECU. However, a silvertop 20v can be run with the blacktop ECU just fine.

  • Its the opposite. Blacktops have a MAP sensor which allows them to run open throttles..silvertops have the AFM sensor which means they cant run open throttles unless they put in a map sensor and blacktop ECU.

  • A MAP sensor measures manifold pressure... how could you run individual throttles with that?

  • As long as one of the TB's has a vacuum port behind the butterfly, you could connect a line from that to the sensor and get a reading. That or run a line off of each TB to a common vacuum log and connect your sensor to it.

  • Makes sense.

  • @Walaki I do. It's not very pleased with 'regular' driving, you can feel it trying to save gas. But it's really peppy WOT.

  • @fisqual I already made it since then :) I have to make the exhaust more silent tho, i cant hear the ITBs :D :D :D

  • shouldnt there be filters on those or does it work without ??

  • You definitely should use filters when driving, as it doesn't take much crap to damage an engine. However, for videos most people take the filters off. They definitely work without, remember that you can never get enough air into an engine :P

  • @arbpotatoes Some guy at the drift events I attend has a filter-less intake on his corolla and says he has had it like that for 8 years and never had a problem.

    Personally though, I use filters.

  • can some tell if can install itbs in a 4afe 16v ...i'm 17 years old and don'd now much about engines?

  • Yes, but they have to be custom made I think.

  • if you are willing to spend that money i recommend you just get a blacktop and have it ready already!

  • he didn't reset the rev limiter. it is supose to be 11,000 RPM and the red line is 9700

  • @richrich27 your an idiot.

  • that was 8 months ago. i know more now...

  • @richrich27 fair enough lol.

  • plenty of space for a 6 or 8 cylinder block!

  • i thought it was faster :(

  • which trumpets are those? are they 50mm ones? Sounds awesome mate.

  • they look like the T3 ones (technotoytuning dot com)

  • thats wat im tryin to buy, there beautiful cars and i would take one anyday nice car man

  • nice

  • Nice car, really clean setup. Sounds great!

  • ahh truu i just thot maybe u didnt knw..

  • this guy does not know how to bang gears and shift

  • i do. i just don't do it to my 86. ive been banging gears back in 1995 when i had my times with my eg6 and vtec crossover. its nothing new.....

  • @VtecWhore

you drive a honda econobox stfu

  • @VtecWhore You drive a rice cooker GTFO

  • that sounds sweet im doing the same to mine mine is pushing 190bhp 20v but ide like it to sound like that nice 1 m8

  • its oldskool :p

  • @XTwina - hoping you're not serious

  • @XTwina you know, almost everyone i know would castrate you for saying that?

  • @XTwina maybe some of use like sleepers.

  • @XTwina Are you serious?

  • @XTwina YOU are unbelieveble

i think you don't know what tureno means

  • @XTwina them motor r cheap in nz

  • I bet you love that throttle response,Im planning on getting some irtb for my miata,I used to have itbs on my old 89 mr2 supercharged.

  • Is that suppose to be fast. All noise an no go! pathetic.

  • this comin from a guy with no videos. good shit <3 4age

  • That sounds so awesome.. Can beat the ITB's noise..

  • omg lack of power and torque haha, it didn't move until like, at all... lol but it sounds awesome heh.

  • from 0 to 61 mph in less than 7 seconds.. on an otherwise untrimmed engine exept the ITB`s.. That alone is fast, THEN comes tuning potential on top of that..

  • wat tranny did u use t50?

  • Where did you get those funnels/ramtubes? Neighbor has the blacktop and wants to run them open.

  • nice work

  • i love the sound it cool i love the 8000rpm

  • is the temperature gauge broken or do you kill a cold engine?

  • Hey man...what happened with the old setup?the 16v itbs.

Do you still have it?if you do, im interested in it!!Thanks :)

  • I think i just peed myself!!!!

    Thats my inspiration...this video...

damn nice!!!i envy you (in a good way)

Very healthy sounding 20v right there! ^_^

  • i'm not sure but

when you had the 16v config, you passed the gear at more of 8000 rpms but with the 20v engine, you pass the gear at 8000 rpms

the 20 v is supposed to be more powerful than the 16 v,there is a problem no??

(sorry for the middle english,'im french =) )

  • when it was 16v itb'd, i had a megasquirt ecu and had the redline set @ 9000 rpm. with the 20v, the redline is @ 8300 rpm with factory ecu.

  • John That's sick bro I still can't beleive you sold that thing.

  • i know, me too. thx.

  • they did a clean swap, sounds like it idles pretty well too, who tuned your car?

  • 16v itb w/megasquirt: i have a friend that is good at tuning the megasquirt.

20v swap: all oem electronics (ae111 ecu and sensors).

  • far thats got nuts from 5k-8k+, 10/10

  • bt's redline at around 83-8500 i think..

  • true. they do redline @ 8500 rpms (only 5speed ecu's). i heard the the 6speed ecus only redline 7800-8000 rpms, im not sure tho.

  • when moto was helping me look for an engine he told me bt's could be revved to 9k.. don't think you'd want to because of the loss of power, but still it can. he's taken his to 9 before i know that

  • So,what do you prefer?

16V with ITB or 20V with ITB?

  • price wise...the 20v. the 16v itb setup ran close to $1200 just for the parts and megasquirt setup. but its always possible to make a 16v pull more hp than a 20v with minor bolt-ons.

  • performance wise?

  • do u have a 4.7 ring and pinion btw?
