China Earthquake lights and Strange Colors

I have documented post and pre earthquake lights in Christchurch New Zealand, after the Feb 6.3 we had. 3 different kinds of rainbow lights, one type was muddy in the clouds, one type was like a plasma rainbow ball, and one type was like a lens and torch beam.

This 3rd type was photographed on 2 different occasions, just before a 5+ magnitude aftershock.

Activity still going on so will no doubt get more pictures.

This one I can find an answer for: The disturbance in the Earths techtonic plates caused a magnetic field disruption in the area creating an Aurara Borialis affect. Lots of the other stuff is just strange but this one has a logical reason.

These are circumhorizon arcs.

They are natural halos. Refraction of sunlight in ice crystals.

The horizontal structure and specific color order, also seen in rainbows (red above yellow, above green, above blue), is a dead give-away.

it is almost the same effect as auroras also known as northern lights... They are created by how positive and negative ions are bombarded or collide it will create this strange moving color lights.. There are also many other color combinations if you see them in alaska or canada they are very oftenly seen there. :D

Hey..it's Dec 12th and I saw two sets of these clouds this evening in the eastern sky where I live....

It was the most scariest thing but weird....I emailed George Ure of Urbansurvival(dot)com to see if this may have anything to do with the massive earthquake prediction of the Web bots for this weekend....

what I saw was not ICE CRYSTALS....IT WAS JUST LIKE THIS MOVIE BUT AT NIGHT....It was visible because it was the brightest the moon has been ALL YEAR LONG!!

So was there a earthquake after? The clouds here are either plasma, gas, or other natural phenomena caused by the shifting of plates underground. There is even a possibility it has something to do with the HAARP project.

I myself too saw a cloud with colors, looked like a rainbow but these clouds have been around here before because i have seen them before around late fall/winter season. Unless...

the San Andreas Fault is releasing these gases i am convinced its the crystallization of moisture in the clouds.

The ring around the moon with a rainbow color is also moisture in the air crystallized at high altitude causing a spectral illumination.

These are just possibilities, you can believe what you want if you know what you saw no one can debate it. Sure wish you had a cam close to record it.

At the beginning of the footage, I could see a couple of black orbs flying across from left to right. I tried to see them by pulling the video backward but couldn't see them. But if you play the video at normal spd, you can see them. This kind of echos with another youtube film claiming the quake was caused by UFO.

They are not common, but they do happen, as do infra and supralateral arcs, circumzenithal arcs, tangent arcs, Parry Arcs, etc.

Thank you for some sanity, iStageMom. This is obviously neither "earthquake lights" nor anything as crazy as HAARP. If you look at the shadows on the roof line and trees, you see that the sun is above the frame, out of the field of view. The colors of the lights are that of the rainbow, and in the right order, exactly what you'd expect for refraction from water droplets or ice crystals. No mystery here.

The color is caused by the ionoshpere being excited by the enormous electromagnetic charge resulting from many cubic miles of rocks along the tectonic plates being squeezed. Think a click lighter with the piece of quartz that caused a spark. Piezoelectricity. Like the Northern Lights, although caused by solar winds, the effect is the same.....excited particles.

Well, colors in the sky can be pollution. It is all about light refraction. I am sure there is a scientific explanation somewhere. Perhaps even the earth was leaking some volcanic gasses or something when the earth moves. I don't think it is anything paranormal. I mean, who or what would wish anything like that on anyone. I know my God, would not do that to people. It is simply the movement of the earth and the earth shifting around. It could happen to anyone.
