Got to this scene on the Genesis version, wasn't sure the route but now the description makes sense. Alas, I bombed in our encounter --but I got my revenge by sacking the territory for a ton of loot (which brings up something I noticed: the first screen said the wealth was "ordinary", whenever I visited it was "unsurpassed" or something of that nature).
Hey, how come? I've just checked the same lines in my game, only to make Cleo angry and to be left with the choice of 'withdraw' or 'go to war'. Do I have to move I Ital consullar army to Aegyptus in it's full strenght or something like that?
Could you, gladly please, tell me in which countries the diplomacy could give the results simillar to these you presented in this video? I passed Centurion few times, but without any succes in talking to leaders.
@sprai7 Thank you for your comment. For the prerequisites for the alliance with Aegyptus and the subsequent scene, please refer to the video description.
For guidance on how to forge alliances with almost any country, ɯʇɥ˙sɐʇɹɐɔɹq/uoıɹnʇuǝɔ‾poɹ/ƃɹo˙sǝıʇıɔoo˙ʍʍʍ//:dʇʇɥ could help you. If it doesn't, 95=ʇ¿dɥd˙pɐǝɹɥʇʍoɥs/ʇǝןןnqʌ/ɯoɔ˙ɐıuopuɐqɐ˙ʍʍʍ//:dʇʇɥ might be worth a try.
@mcasey666 While it is true that Aegyptus is one of the very few nations where you can demand a "high" tribute and get away with it, my intent here was also to show a "typical" example for how a peaceful alliance can be forged.
In general, it is always safe to go for "low", because there is no nation that will agree to a higher tribute but disagree to a lower one but several that will only agree to a "low" tribute.
This only only happened to me on this game once, and i got my first stiffy lol!
