Everyone is pretty much correct...the idea of it being a strange celebration is because people are dying and the world is ending. Normally this would be horrific but actually it's a celebration because it's happenig at a time when we are all told by these "Angels" that death isn't the end and we are all being saved and merely moving on. Yea, in Revelations the Apostle John writes about seeing Death riding a pale horse. With Tom singing about the Earth being burned and billions of people dying and the Angels saving the believers, one has to believe the song is about the end of the world. He also references the gates of pearl, change of the guard, heaven and earth, and the number 7 is scattered across the book of Reveleations, Seven stars are the seven angels of the churches, and the seven stands are the seven churches.
