I've been listening to this song a number of times now, and I must say: It's just getting better and better! Even though it's almost straight eight, it's a very, very good drive and light swinging groove in this. And that is difficult to achieve. I wish I also had an MP3 with Ray Bryant playing this.
I have problems to see it complete, in the minute 1:25 it doesn't run, its appears as 100% loading but no way, just my problem?? it's the only one that doesn't work
The left hand is a really "Kansas City" left hand. Not as like the other boogie woogie's. It has to be played straight, but it still has the groove in it. Have fun! Eeco
awesome i would like to hear that bassline on a bass/bari guitar!

Great piece! Where did you find it? I have looked everywhere. Are you sure it's Ray Bryant?
freeuser21421 4 years ago
yes its from Ray Bryant and I learned it by my teacher. I have to tell you that the 2nd changing to C is a own improvisation..:)

Very well done. You should learn the Madison Time -- Hit it! One question, whats the song in the beginning, played ever so briefly?

I really like this! Its simple, but drives along very nicely. Regarding your piano lessons - do you learn from sheet music?

I like it Eeco, but I usually shy away from Ab.
Maybe this time I'll give it a go.

A high quality performance and a nice homage to Ray Bryant.
I love 'between triplet and straight swing' grooves!
But I must say, I can feel the headache coming just thinking about trying the impossible: playing in A flat...
