Hi you got to much junk with you. Dont really need all that stuff, over kill to the Max. Not only that one day you will get sued with those stands out there like that.
I just started my mobile business, i only have 2 jbl eons and a simple t-truss with two led moonflowers, and i use pioneer cdj's with a rane...i know, small time.lol..i was wondering, what are the white sheets you use to cover the stands, those look great, and you use LED par's to light them right?
A couple of questions, first of all I love the video! Do you like the mini macs? Are they a good buy under $400? Can you put a gobo in them for a name monogram?
Where did you get the spandex to cover your speakers stands? How much?
Are you running your lighting and sound separate? Is that serato for the sound? Really looking forward to your reply!
Thanks, bro, I appreciate that! If you could get miniMacs for under $400, I say buy as many as you can afford, they're a terrific light and a lot more than that here in Canada! I don't really know if you can put a name-Gobo in them, but I'll find out for you?
I used to buy those spandex covers from my DJ Supply, but now my buddy's Aunt makes 'em, believe it or not, for the Price of the material.
And YES, I had one laptop running LightJockey and one running Serato, in case of hiccups.
I've got 5 mini mac profils and 2 washes. They are a great light for mobile work. Idid one monogram with the profile last may. It was a simply design so it fit. The Pr1 is better for monograms though.
Hey djtave, que passa? The parcans are the Microh LEDP64SB. We used 8 of them this night. They were all simply programmed in a Slave/Master mode with a simple colour change sequence, but the effect was kind of Cool, wasn't it? Although, I'm not charging enough for them, I'm using them a lot these days. What did we do before Uplighting, anyway?
Hey djqx, we use Martin "LightJockey". In case you haven't heard about it, it's a Computer-based program that allows you to control all your lights from a laptop. You can program scenes and effects, like room and tablewashes, spots or crazy dancefloor effects. It requires some training but once you've got the hang of it, the possibilities are endless? Your only limit is your own imagination? Hell, I sound like a commercial for the Product? Hey, MartinLighting, I'm available, when I'm not DJing.
I know about it. Its a very nice software but expensive. i would need a laptop dedicated to just that! Im using an elation 192 controler....lol.....works very nice though! It controles my mac 250's, efx600's, scx700's. Also, how do you get those segments to be stable with the macs on top?
Hey, djkenstone, thanks for the nice comments, I appreciate it very much. I get that cloth made at my DJ supply company in Toronto here, Domino Sound & Lighting. They once were custom-made but now a lot of guys are cleaning up their act, with these cloths, so they are not hard to find. Light them from behind and they add to your show & hide all your wires? To me, they are a must! Thanx for watching.
Thanks once again for showing us your great gear and your set up!
The reason I ask to see this process is to get ideas on how I can achieve a set up like yours and provide the excellent service you give to your clients.
This way I can become one of the leading mobile dj companies in this area by investing a nice light show.
In two weeks I will hopefully be getting 5 Chavuet color strips, 4 Intimidator 2.0. & 1 ADJ Quad Gem all runned by ADJ My DMX.
Hey DJ CH!CO, thanks again for your comments, you are a very loyal Subscriber & the reason why I shot the set-up. A Cool Lightshow, great sound and a clean set-up will really carry you far and will separate you from the rest of the "kids with an iPod". I tell my clients exactly, "If you are looking for an inexpensive DJ, I may not be your First choice?" They understand that Quality costs a little more & trust me with probably the most important day of their Life. Good luck with the lights. Adios
I loved the set up! Looks great, how do you like the mini macs? I was looking into a pair when i have the money
