  • Woah, I will get Linux and get the info for all my favorite sites. THANK YOU! You are really helping. From my knowledge now I can help at least 10 others, all thanks to you :)

  • LINUX rocks!!!!

  • The IP appears to change over time.

I just tried this for Google, and got 72.14.209.104, which worked when I put it in my browser.

Your Google IP shown here, 209.85.255.99, did not work for me. Does it work for anyone else?

  • Hey man, I'm just wondering how often you get told you're crazy and how you respond to that? I've been talking about the collapse since 2007 and the biggest obstacle I've found has been that people just think I'm a nut-job.

  • @rygy82 People will think you are a nut job all the time.

I have an advantage because I can tell people I have a Youtube channel where 4000+ people have subscribed. LOL. Really we just should respond with facts.

  • @awarepatriot Thanks for responding... I kinda figured that's what you would say lol So I'm wondering, where do you get your facts? I search all over for the truth and I read as much as I can, I just like to keep connected to what's really happening out there.

  • How do you feel about the idea of a multi family compound? It seems like me and my family are moving more and more toward this type of living situation. My only problem would be the trust issues if the other families are not related.

  • well said.....!

  • Your dead on most times. But, Galviston is doing just fine. I have the ability of hind site as this is written far later then when your video was posted. The MSM is lying about the economy and the employment situation as ordered by the Gov

  • Everytime I watch one of your videos, I learn something new. You have defenatly done your homework! I really appreicate all the help you give the public and myself! Keep the good work brother.

  • you have to understand tyhe news is for 2 dif people ,.. 1 set of news is for the rich ,.. biz is good ,.. and 1 is for you the slave, that one is not so good

  • Have you heard, whether there really was any iranian ship leaving an iranian harbor to travel to Gaza?

    I haven´t.

  • They planned to attack Iran the day they decided to attack Iraq/ Afghanistan because those 2 nations are flanking the nation of Iran they have plans to own the Middle east.

Microsort has gotten wealthy by over charging everyone that buys a computer paying for the new computer you are charged for the operating system what I dont understand is why am I charged every time I get a new computer. I think MSFT hires people to spread viruses to crash computers and the average Joe will just buy new.

  • Do you have a link of a list of Popular ip addresses?

  • @ottawaoctane I'd be interested as well. Could you just add them to you local host file?

  • I have a question to you of what brought you to this point? For myself it was when I saw us take out our own people on 911 that topped the cake. It almost amazes me that so much can be done out in the open and no one really see or remembers.

  • Very good speech, I enjoyed listening.

You are very aware of what 's happening around you.

    Interesting, keep 'm coming !

  • yes they can shutdown root servers but one thing ppl don't really know is that the core of the web is owned ( the links) by very few companies witch would be very pleased to shutdown the net to push everybody into web 2.0 .

in fact i don't remember witch country but there was a place that was basically attack trough the Internet for several days . the more a system is complex the more it is feeble. Internet is VERY complicated. (by Internet i mean the whole thing not just web )

  • Great Info! How do you PING an addy? Thanks!

  • We have a lot in common....Kids, Home school, Computer Business, preparing for hard times. We need a group of people across the country that we can trust when the SHTF. Thx You are doing a great job.

  • Great job on the video! You seem up to speed on the current news! Please keep up the great work and help keep people informed!

  • While your information is correct on how addresses are resolved, knowing the IP address (dotted quad) is no guarantee that the website (such as google) will be able to function. Root servers operate at the highest level, such as COM, or ORG root servers hand of the job of resolving IP address to lower level DNS servers. If the website, such as Google cannot resolve it's addresses the most you will get is their front page.

  • @u50214 which is why you get page specific IP's up front. This isn't talking about surfing, it's talking about mandatory sites you need.

  • There are hundreds of websites on economics, but one that stands out for me is the Automatic Earth blogspot. The guy who runs it works hard to draw perspectives from international sources as well as American ones. He also does his best to explain technicalities in plain language. The downside is that he's a bit wordy - but you can skim.

  • There is a new browser that does not store your information: Start Page. They also give you the option of anonymous browsing. They have an explanatory video at qv3SCbI5KFM

  • Thanks, AP. I'm using an Apple. Where do I go in Mac OSX to ping for IP addresses?

  • Great for keeping us up to date. You don't need a gut feeling to know that the economy is crashing, you just need to do a little research and basic math. The problem is that folks cannot miss their Dancing w/the stars, American Idle and sports in between and weekends. The media ain't telling because it will make their favorite Marxist regime look very bad. Can you boot from Ubuntu & run office?

  • Ubuntu...its ok until you really need to do special projects. If all you are going to do is browse and use OpenOffice then that's ok. The problem with Linux based machines is hardware support. People who are not familiar with UNIX based operating system will need to learn how to setup and install, use the console, learn the basic and sudo commands, and learn how to compile custom builds. Plus there so many different distibutions of Linux based OS out there. My favorite feature: Compiz Fusion

  • @systemaddictshock Good informative video too about the Root servers. There's 7 all together and they are scattered around the world.

  • @systemaddictshock special projects like what ?

  • The first part of the video I got. . . Then you switched to some foreign language. ; )

  • One of Canada's top 5 banks/investment houses BMO has just advised it clients and brokers to move 100% into cash. This is equivalent to Goldman, Morgan Stanley, TD Waterhouse moving their clients 100% into cash. Most of the money STILL in the market are the institutions trading back and forth to each other in a crazy game of who can burn who and who can ru up the most trading commisions. The last ones still in the market when it goes will get crushed. Just think back to the fall of 2008.

  • For folks that don't know squat about Linux, KNOPPIX may be the way to introduce them to it. If you're unfamiliar with it, it's a full Linux distro on CD-ROM. The OS, apps, etc open up on the fly & stay in RAM. So, you set your comp to boot from CD-R before HDD & you get Linux. play around. pop the CD out & you're back to Windows.

BTW - KNOPPIX makes an AWESOME ERD. Say you have an OS crash on Windows - you pop in your KNOPPIX disk & you have access to all your data & your NIC.

  • @VincentVonGoat Yes, knoppix is another great one. Thanks for pointing that out!

  • @awarepatriot

I noticed a lot of comments from ppl worried about having to install something "over" (or in lieu of) windows.

  • unfortunately web sites that are on a shared hosting platform won't be accessible via an ip address typed in the browser address bar. you would have to manipulate the hosts file in windows (or linux) to get around that problem.

  • @thewondermikeshow This is true. I guess I was trying to teach "in general for the layman:. :o ) "Get your online mail etc". Thanks.

  • @thewondermikeshow

    # man netstat

  • sometimes its hard to keep up with everything.....

  • @TheRealFollower LOL, no kidding man.... No kidding. Thanks!

  • Awesome info, thanks.

  • @seanboy80 Appreciate it!

  • Texas is ruin by the oil spill too? I have family live in Houston.

  • @ferrari4sale In my honest opinion, the whole gulf is going to get screwed. The exxon spill years back ruined more than the gulf in beaches. Thanks.

  • the ping function in terminal works but it keeps on pinging. How do I stop it from pinging so many times? thanks.

  • @jimbobubbadj Hit CNTRL-C .... :o)

  • Great tip!. It seems that I remember doing that 15 years ago or so when I first got the internet but forgot all about it. Thanks

  • @MoneyBags73 Yeah it's handy... The root servers could be an easy shut down and people will most likely be needing to use the internet.

  • tonight's "entertainment" prime time tv says free internet is bad and so are guns....

my gut says the ship is sinking too, and we need to prepare, physically, and spiritually. what we cannot do for the lack of money, we can at least prepare our souls....

  • @alleycatalog Yes, prep you soul.... TRUST YOUR GUT. A lot of people won't hear me say that. My grandmother's life was saved from trusting her gut.

  • @awarepatriot too many people think like machines and not animals. Animals use thier instincts to survive, not logic. And we are no less animals for having oposable thumbs...

  • The info on how to get around without internic root servers is extremly valuable. Thank you.

  • @R1phish Of course we all hope it won't come to an internic shut down. There are many private DNS servers trying to get the internic copied... Ugg.. too much too little time. THanks!

  • also try out Linux Mint another flavor that is just as nice and easy as Ubuntu

  • @mastershakelock Linux is making incredible progress... I can't wait till it over takes MS. :o) Thanks !

  • VERY COOL!!! THANK YOU!!!!

  • @urbansurvivor101 Thanks!

  • Iran's republican guard meets Israeli special forces massad.

I wonder if they'll have a pay per view channel for this. WW3 the real deal.

  • @kmuthart LOL!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!! too much... too much LOL THanks! hashahhahaha

  • The thing of worth which you spoke: "I don't think the mainstream media knows what the hell is going on."

  • @Icriedtoday They don't at all.. Every story is twisted.. Thanks!

  • do I have to replace windows with this os? or can I use either one

  • @MSGDREWRY You can use both at the same time on the same hard drive. You can also use a LIVE CD, which boots off your CD and allows you to use the OS. Thanks!

  • sure wish I could borrow you for a few days to set up my abode here in the New England.

  • @OneFabFisher Well if my family travels that way, I'll shoot you an email :o) We travel a lot. (not kidding) I don't mind helping anybody willing to help themselves. Thanks.

  • @homegrownsurvivor Mac sux.

  • Are you talking about the "big 12" DNS servers? Do you think they would do that?

  • @AncientLegacy Yes. Internic root servers. They can be taken down very quickly. It would render all "human ease" on the internet worthless. That would be the fastest way to take down the entire thing. Those who know how to surf based on IP address will be doing much better @ those times. Many people don't understand how important this info is.

  • I trusted my gut and y wife left me, she said i'm crazy and i need help.

  • @tommyhawk7669 9/10 wives of prepping men that I know, think their husband is crazy. She'll see... All a matter of SMALL time. Thanks!

  • @awarepatriot I'm going through a hard time, she left me with my two year old son. Her mother says I need help and something is wrong with me.

  • @awarepatriot whats really crazy is she is a stay at home mom with no job and no money. I don't think she realizes how hard it's going to be being a 38 year old single mom with a 2 year old in todays economy.

  • @tommyhawk7669 Yeah, it's going to get ROUGH!

  • @awarepatriot I call her my wife but were not married we been together for 8 years.

  • @tommyhawk7669 Take the plunge and she'll love you forever man.. I know somebody in that exact situation. They finally did the knot and it took her breath away.... But whatever :oP ... Yeah things are going to get incredibly rough man. People are so blind to what is happening.

  • @tommyhawk7669 I am in a similar situation but much more complicated ...

OK , the economic collapse will come . BUT FUCKIN WHEN FUCKIN EXACTLY ?????

    FUCK

I hope everything collapses tomorrow .

  • Cool! Very good info.

  • @subc Yeah I like those a lot. Cali is a mess right now... Even Texas is truly. Thanks!

  • Thanks for the info on the IP Pinging.

  • Havent't tried anything but Windows and, Mac. if I were to install this OS, could I still play my games? Mass Effect 2, Crysis, etc. Reason why I ask is because, this operating system might not be supported by the games. Nice video as well!

  • @Xx7Zeithious7xX Yes but you'd have to use cedega or wine to play them. There is also a live cd you can download & use without a hard drive.

  • @Xx7Zeithious7xX

best thing is to just have a cheap 2nd comp just for that operating system and you r good to go...

  • @ssf1111 yes that's a very good way to go.

  • @Xx7Zeithious7xX

some games do work some others don't .

    some take tweaking some don't

  • Excellent point about the server ips. I have a feeling Google will submit to government control.

  • @StormCloudsGathering Well some people say google started with CIA money, but I don't think so. Many search engines will though.

  • shit man trusting my gut is what got me to stop souping up my car and to start buying guns and looking at what is going on in the world.

  • @dancingforrain2012 Yeah that car may not get you too far... Excellent that you trusted your gut...

  • @dancingforrain2012 I've been telling my friends the same thing. I've been using the saying "you know, if you buy one, it could save your life or your family."

    A car can't do that.

And cars lose value straight off the lot.

If i bought a glock today for 500, i could sell it next year for nearly that much.

  • I saw that on yahoo, I was laughing. Good video. People should really support things like Ubuntu a lot more; it's come a long way since back in the day.

  • @freseht It really has, plus you won't be supporting the gates foundation or their Eugenics. Thanks!

  • i had a linex system before but it wasent suported by my dsl co. name servers,

i could type in ip for google ect like that and get to google though.

but i had to chainge to windows to use my internet conection.

im leaning twords your wify info, maybe setup a free one and maybe drop the verizon dsl i curently have.

  • @davidrrrd It should be supported. They are probably giving you the run around.

Linux supports DHCP, which assigns you an ip, subnet, gateway, and DNS... All the components you need for internet service.

  • @davidrrrd

thats BS from your Dsl company they don't support your system they support your line get a qualified tech and speak to them and they will be speechless . you can also put a router in between your computer and their line . they wont "support it either " but you got to give them the right info . and they will follow trough .
