Just wanted to say I know where that guy is coming from , I used to live in America and moved to Australia 5 yrs ago and it cost my family $5000 USD to bring my dog over and I know how it is , so for that reason alone of knowing how hard it is , I will send him 10% now only another 9 ppl have to do it to cover 1 dog

@JOHNDEEBANK It's all to do with rabies, quarantine period, distance of flight and if people organize it themselves or have an agent do it for them. Since Taiwan is rabies free (unlike the US), my pets will need to stay 30 days in quarantine (about $1k for each, little more for dogs). And we're doing our best to do as much of the work as possible. Hopefully cutting the costs greatly. (no way near $30k like you thought - maybe a quarter that, I hope less)

He would need a minimum of AU$4000 = Airfare $2000 ($1500 by Singapore airlines) each for airfare and at least $1000 for all his pets, insurence and carriers ect... and I aggree Australia is not easy when it comes to pets being transported but there is good reason for that. We have actually had a few things taken out of postage because of quarantine (my husband got sent some stuff from the USA from his parents and they didn't realise). They are stricted but they are pretty reasonable.

@MartinTheMad what i did with my dog was do as much of the quarentine as possible ( all blood tests and vet exams in the home country to minimize time out at rooty hill , when i did my dog ( 5 yrs ago ) it was 30 dollars a day , so i could only imagine its doubled since then , if you need anything on the australian end , let me know buddy

He would need a minimum of AU$4000 = Airfare $2000 ($1500 by Singapore airlines) each for airfare and at least $1000 for all his pets, insurence and carriers ect... and I aggree Australia is not easy when it comes to pets being transported but there is good reason for that. We have actually had a few things taken out of postage because of quarantine (my husband got sent some stuff from the USA from his parents and they didn't realise). They are stricted but they are pretty reasonable.

I did it on a whim without thinking about it first. I saw another guy do it. He did it once...no problem....but then I pulled my camera out and he went to do it again...and crashed. So it took a bit of balls to try. My riding has taken a leap recently.....I think it's all due to using race tires..

that same "pet" concept over there is kind of the same over in the philippines. I dont live there but i am filipino and live in america. When i went over there to visit my family, i saw everyone there including my aunt keeping there dogs in cages, or tied up. They use them as some what of an alarm system rather than acting as if they were another human being
