there are many other verses and scriptures in the Bible which make reference to the husband being the leader of the family. It's a responsibility given to him by God and one which the husband must answer to. However, it does not make his wife less valuable than he because he must also lead in love as Christ to the church and be humble and submissive to God. To blueeye 233: It is not God does not lead the wife, I'm very sure that He is her ultimate Leader. I am actually going through pre-marital counselling classes right now and we just went over a "Roles" class. In the class it describes the roles of husband wife and children. The husband's role is the headship/leader of the family just as Jesus the headship/leader of the Church. If you read Ephesians 5:22-33, it calls for the husbands to protect, love sacrificially, and as his own body his wife.

Love when there is meaning behind a song...that make a real artist...thank you! No One should ever ever give up on Marriage...a manufacture never makes a Lock with out a Key, similar to God, he will never give a prob without solutions!! or On their kids! you fight fight to get them back...it will be hard at times but i always pays off in the end you will have a family & to hear them say i love you Mommy! so God lead me, me n my kids are yours to hold!

I'm so glad as a couple they found a way to resolve their conflict and ask God for help. My husband and I go through the same thing all the time and sometimes. It really takes both people in the marriage to realize it's not about you but it's about the other person. My focus should be him and his focus should be me. I love how this song explains all that and more!

there are many other verses and scriptures in the Bible which make reference to the husband being the leader of the family. It's a responsibility given to him by God and one which the husband must answer to. However, it does not make his wife less valuable than he because he must also lead in love as Christ to the church and be humble and submissive to God. Like I said many more scriptures out there in the Bible. God bless you.

To blueeye 233: It is not God does not lead the wife, I'm very sure that He is her ultimate Leader. I am actually going through pre-marital counselling classes right now and we just went over a "Roles" class. In the class it describes the roles of husband wife and children. The husband's role is the headship/leader of the family just as Jesus the headship/leader of the Church. If you read Ephesians 5:22-33, it calls for the husbands to protect, love sacrificially, and as his own body his wife.

Thank you Matt for hearing these words and allowing God to use you to teach us how to become the man God created us to be.I had to go through two divorces and after 4 kids (3 Beautiful girls) i still didnt have a clue .It wasnt until God saved me and set me in place where he could teach me how precious a woman really is and how to see it was not about me.Wow. It has been four years and i am praying your song was my graduation song. If men could get revelation of this it would change your life..

Hey Matt, You get it. A godly man provides for his family by receiving all his provision from God, his Father. You're video here is a wonderful example to the rest of us Christ-following husband's and dads. Your marriage issues directly parallel mine, and I feel are for the most part, universal. Conflict resolution is key, and something my wife of 25 years and I are still struggling to learn, practice, endure, value. Way to go on posting such an insightful, vulnerable, inspiring video. i just heard this song for the first time and it reminded me of me and my family. I'm so busy with going to school and work it's so easy to not be the husband and father i need to be.
