i dunno the bass sounds kind of stiff compared to the album version. kinda like he's plucking every note individually instead of the smoothness that comes with pulling-off or sliding some of the notes. maybe it's just me.

@fathermckenzie1 i guess its because when you record in a studio, you have ALOT of control over the end sound of bass, but live, you are alot more restriced. If the bass was softer/smoother during a live performance it might be harder to make out over the other synths, and since the bass is an important part of the song, they increase treble to make it stand out. Lengthy explanation i know, but thats how i see it hahaha :D
