whats the point of a blue illuminated dash? blue was modern around, lets say 2002 - 2004. only the most expensive things had blue illumination that time, but now in 2010 every shitty cheap little thing is lightened up in blue, just think of those horrible cheap devices just like "hifi"-systems you can buy in your supermarket or on ebay for 10bucks.... blue now stands for low quality things, white is the new color

come on, i have the 59 plate 118d se and tdi tuning box and rolling road tuned, now instead of the standard 143, it pushing 180.5 with great torque, i suggest you do the same, you wont regret it :) it would eat that time

100 km/h on the speedometer is actually no more than 95 km/h, so do not fool yourself. Add 0.5 s to your time and it will be true.

It's not all.

BMW mounts the sensors for the speedometer on the driven axle. This means that this always results in acceleration slip. The real acceleration is around 10s - not less.

@LYPLX actually its orange but when the sunlight falls direct on to the digits/backlights it looks blue. Don't worry he hasn't got anything different to us.

cause 118d is a 2.0diesel engine boasting 310nm of torque.  Diesel= better esp in overtaking performance

This the old 118d - 9.0 is the data of the newone with 143 bhp! This is the 2004er with normaly 122 bhp

i don't think the car is tuned, and it would have been possible to go 90km/h in 2nd gear.

no, 90 km/h in second gear isn't possible. At 80 km/h it is at nearly 4600 rpm - in any case its better to change the gear erlier, cause in 3 gear@ 3500 rpm is much more torque as in gear 2 @ 4500 rpm ;-)
