  • perhaps you could put your chronological time machine 2011 shipwreck in order before you go doing those virtual things that voodoo that you do

  • Amazing song!! Memorable chorus ' Net boy Net girl send your signal around the world put your message in a modem and through it into cyber sea'. Tear..

  • Rush Rocks!!...6 29 2010 a new tour begins!!...love them!!

  • 20 days before this very show, I was in the "FRONT ROW" in Noblesville, IN (Indy) closest fan to GEDDY !!!!! Will NEVER forget it.....

  • Fuckin love that song....

  • Maaaan ! After being a Rush fan for more than 30 years, I wished, yearn for, and prayed for this song to be included in Rush in Rio, R30, or Snakes arrows live, along with Dog Years, Time and Motion, Alien Shore and many more, it's all right playing Limelight again or Spirit, But, come ooon! Alex, Neil, Geddy, you don't need more fans, just please th old ones, Pleeeeeease !

  • Sound was awful in the show I saw in DC... this song (and all TFE songs) saved the shown

  • Great lyrics that show insight of a new world order.

Neil has a very very very big head, unlike some

of my fellow brothers on this page.

Keep on rockin and stop bitching you netbabies

  • Although it's kind of sad how fast Alex turned into an old fat guy...his playing is still great, but man, he just seemed to age faster than Geddy or Neil...

  • Man, what a great song.

  • another great one on "test for echo",thanks for posting,i would like to see dog years, one of my favs on that album.

  • This riff is just wicked sick!!! Great song, my fav off "Test..."

  • GREAT song and lyrics...

Prophetic...this came out on an album...what...12 years ago as a song about human beings losing true contact with each other thanks to the "miracles" of technology and thanks to "texting" and e-mailing and instant messaging...well, here were are.

  • @DaNoid1 I see that thought...but I really respectfully disagree with that. I see technology expanding to let people who would have never had a snowballs chance in hell of ever meeting getting together...whether it's love, sex, anime, technology, science...whatever. Your right in some ways, but dead wrong in others. It's an "AX"..build a house or kill your family...you decide...

  • A mixture of some of the best and worst lyrics he's ever written.

  • what's worst?

    The words; netboy, netgirl??

  • THe song is awsome, end of story. he has more talent in his finger then you have in your life. You couldnt live a day in his shoes.

  • You have to personally attack me because I hate half the lyrics to this song? FUCK YOU!

  • ill personally do it again if you want.

  • Are your toes that long,

personally i don't like any of your 'lyrics'.

it's better giving it a try explaining what you don't

    like about the lyrics.

    Do you understand 'm anyway??

    Kiss you!!

  • Wow, fanboy much? I think Neil would be the *first* person to invite introspection and constructive criticism into his work, but if you think he's "kick (his) queer ass", a) take a listen to "Nobody's Hero" the next time you drop a Queer Bomb, and b) You're an idiot... and not an "idot".

  • this song is amazing ....

  • I don't know...lyrically, it sure didn't stand the test of time well. Wow Neil, writing a song about the internet aged as well as writing a song about the space shuttle

    :-)

  • Didn't stand the test of time well?

    Are u kidding?

This is sheer poetry, such beautiful lyrics

    and so true...

    what else do we do on this board than;

send our signals around the world, put our

message in a modum and throw it in the cybersea.

Great, great, lyrics, well crafted song.

I'm crazy about. I can feel the voltage from her fingertips

  • I know, but the music is great.

  • His voice really sounds just like album version. It also helps that your camera picks up the sound quality nicely. Excellent

  • actually test for echo was a damn good album.

they should play more songs on their tours.

  • Driven ftw

  • This is definately one of my favorite songs from Test for Echo. Great video and we all know it is hard to capture Neil or Alex.

  • the best thing about being born is to die quickly, what a takeoff, eh? The inward pattern and form of Nietzsche's ideas can only be grasped when the reader has wrestled with his own mind. The mind must be prepared for battle, for intense toil -- it must be open to the ultimate challenge: challenge itself. The mind must be open when Nietzsche attacks Socrates

  • and god , I hate to be REALLY GAY, but who's the really cute blonde guy on the right of the lead singer...(Sorry, straight brothers and sisters)....chuck

  • Alex Lifeson... you should know that if you're looking up Rush.

  • I told my friend at work what I'd done, and he promptly hit me upside the head and gave me the complete rundown on the band and made me listen to "Archives" and the whole "TEST for Echo" album. (1) I now know who Mr. Lifeson is, (2) I will NOT get drunk and be a rock groupie on YT, and (3) Rush made a new fan.

  • My sister sent me this song along with a vid of my second oldest nephew playing hockey about ten years ago. (Net boy, net girl....get it...ha-ha!!!) I fell in love with the song before I even knew who sang it...11 years later, through a friend at work, I found out it was RUSH!!! (And that thier drummer wrote it.) If all music(especially techno) was still relavent 10-20 years from now, I'd be sooooo happy....chuck from oklahoma
