I've said before that Alan Johnson is useless - he got to become an MP because he was a trade union activist climbed the union ladder by talking marxist bullshit.
Take a look wikipedia. He was piss poor academically, and neither did he excel professionally. He was a postman.
The idea that a postman then goes on to become part of the government (which he was before the coalition) is completely beyond my comprehension.
